Unholy Terror
$15.65 The release of 2009's ENDGAME brings with it a startling realization: if first-generation thrash metal fans had been polled about which of the genre's "Big Four" -- Metallica, Slayer, Anthrax, and Megadeth -- would prove to be the most resilient and consistently prolific over the next quarter century, the only sure-fire consensus would probably have been "well, anyone but Megadeth!" And yet, 12 studio albums and 150-plus songs later -- more than any of the other three have managed -- that's exactly what's come to pass. The group's second release for Roadrunner, whose title apparently refers to "coming full circle" rather than any sort of goodbye, finds the latest ...

| | Chris F Billiot Man CD (2002)
Unholy Terror
$7.45 Chris F. Billiot Sr. was born in New Orleans, Louisiana at Mercy Hospital on November 10, 1963.At a very young age, the shy Christopher would often perform for his older siblings and their friends by, impersonating the likes of: Tom Jones, Chuck Berry and Van Morrison.Chris loved music and had ideas of learning to play the drums. however, because Chris was poor, that idea was not realized. When he was of age to join his middle school's band, Chris was forced to play the saxophone. This was the instrument being played by his older brother. The two had to share the instrument, thus easing the financial burden of his mother having to purchase a drum kit. This twist of fate soon proved to be a blessing in disguise, as Chris quickly discovered a connection, a knack, and a passion for the instrument. At the early age of nine, as a saxophonist, Chris and two friends began earning money in "The Boogie Bunch" Dixieland Jazz Ensemble, which the three had formed. the band, managed and guided by, the late "Charles Edward Wolfe Jr", existed for several years in the seventies, and was the springboard for Billiot's ultimate love for creating music.Chris continued to play the saxophone professionally throughout his high school years. After high school, Chris enlisted in the United States Navy, in 1981, and served more than four years. Chris was honorably discharged from the United Stated Navy in 1985. It was during these years that Chris believed he was reaching only a small percentage of music lovers as a saxophone player. Chris believed that very few people could understand the language of the unspoken lyrics of a beautiful instrument, a saxophone. Chris then began to write poetic words to the tunes he had composed. These words soon became lyrics and then he yearned to play an instrument such as a piano or guitar to compile the two.In 1982, Chris met a friend, Christopher Paul Cutler, who taught him basic chord arrangements and bass notes on a six-string guitar. The two became best friends and traveled around the globe together. Much of Billiot's inspiration came from his surroundings in his new home city in Southern California and the many countries he visited during his stint in the military. Billiot later purchased an acoustic guitar of his own and began word-smiting as soon as he could master chords. Billiot continued playing the saxophone in bands around the country and enjoyed every moment of this vast learning experience. Billiot returned to New Orleans in 1985, where he joined an oldies band, where he began to play rhythm guitar. Billiot, in and out of several similar bands, finally met drummer Ryan Faust, who like Billiot, had a passion to create a new sound of original tunes that could appeal to vast combinations of audiences. Billiot and Ryan worked together with many musicians in their attempts to bring some of these tunes to the stage, but they were often stopped short of forming the, "All Original" group they had envisioned. In the year of 2001, Billiot met Darren Brazley and became friends. One day Brazley asked Billiot to assist him in moving his recording studio from one location to another. Once the studio was in operation mode, Billiot, who forgetting his ideas of playing original music, asked Brazley if he could record some songs at his recording studio. Brazley readily agreed and the two worked for a few hours a ...
| | BC Campbell Now's The Time CD (2007)
Unholy Terror
$10.65 Beginning with an epiphany in the barren deserts of Turkey, followed by a manic period of writing a song a day, BC recorded "Now's the time" with engineer/co-producer Erik Chillman over a two year period in a homemade studio in Seattle's industrial Georgetown. Starting out as a hopeful experiment-- melding BC's background in jazz and all forms of rock and Erik's years as a DJ of acid house and electronic music-- the album developed, song by song into an impressive and mature sonic unity.Quickly realizing that these sweaty and addictive songs needed to be brought to the stage, BC sought out a versatile and powerful band. Slowly gathering, the CELEBRITY ORPHANS finally emerged with the soulful Tyler Clark (guitar), Seattle new-music virtuoso Angelina Baldoz (bass), outstanding southern sensation Jay Hoots (drums) and co-producer Erik Chillman (keys). Bringing a unique set of influences and personalities to the mix, the CELEBRITY ORPHANS have melded into a raw and visceral group that feeds off each other's energy and have quickly captivated fans in a very short period of time.Press Release for *Now's the time*Ruben Jones- Handpickedentertainment.comThis full-length debut of Seattle’s BC Campbell, is a kaleidoscopic array of catchy, soulfully melodic songs, “from funny falsetto to bemused musings on supermodels…through the melding of sex, death and bent metal” Seattle Sound. The allure of the album is the range of musical influences put together with a "consistency of style, both memorable and genuine, artfully conveying the emotion of each song to the listener” Rick Feuer, The Fifth Dimension. From Motown to blues-rock, alt-country to stripped down folk/acoustic ballads, lush and stirring string arrangements to house-driven dance music; Now’s the time. traverses the wide and rich terrain of America’s musical landscape. The thread is the warm vocals of BC and his well-crafted song writing- with hooks to spare. As producer, writer, vocalist, and primary “back-up band” BC recorded Now’s the time. with engineer/co-producer Erik Chillman over a two year period in a homemade ...
