| Mission Music Review Average Rating: (3.8 out of 5 stars) It takes time to like... that´s all... I read the last review. It´s wrong. In fact, to me this is the best Royal Hunt CD... It´s more direct than the past ones. More guitar, more melody... The topic about Bradbury´s novel is great. It just takes time, like all good things. No? I don't agree with anyone I don't agree with the first reviewer saying this album's a joke, but I don't think it's their best album either. Paradox is the best RH album, but this is good, I would definitely recommend it. Submitted by a reviewer (Philadelphia,PA) Was This Review Helpful? Yes No
Their best CD yet! Ignore the first review below. This is by far the best Royal Hunt CD yet! John West sounds amazing! You gotta love the premise (based on the Martian Chronicles). This CD was such a pleasant surprise!!! BUY IT! Submitted by a reviewer (Upstate NY) Was This Review Helpful? Yes No
Simply Out of This World!!! I read the first review for this album and I must disagree. In my opinion, this album represents Royal Hunt and John West at their best! John West was simply made for Royal Hunt - I personally it's insulting to use West's name and the previous singer's name in the same sentence. That ex-singer was just a little too whiny for my taste! Anyway, it does take time to sink your teeth into this one - and once you're digested it properly, the melodies just won't let go!!! It's refreshing to see Royal Hunt exploring new ideas while maintaining the traditional RH musical core. Submitted by a reviewer (Las Vegas, NV) Was This Review Helpful? Yes No
I thought this was a joke A buddy played me this CD and I was like, WHAT??? That neo-classical ROYAL HUNT we once knew is long gone? I just don't understand? John West is such a great singer, but why must he try to mimmick former singer DC COOPER? Mr. West is 10 times over the singer Mr. Cooper is, but you'd never know it from this release! Stay clear and buy their older stuff! Submitted by a reviewer (Morgantown, WV) Was This Review Helpful? Yes No

$14.89 Some things are immune to trends, and Ronnie James Dio's golden voice is one of them. The alleged inventor of the devil-horns symbol (as it pertains to metal) had a memorable stint as the singer of Black Sabbath after St. Ozzy's departure, leaving behind two classic albums in MOB RULES and HEAVEN AND HELL. Though the rest of Sabbath has mainly focused on working with Ozzy in the 2000s, a 2007 tour with Dio whetted their appetites for a fresh collaboration as Heaven & Hell. The result, THE DEVIL YOU KNOW, stands proudly beside the band's prime material. Like anything associated with Dio, the music ...

$17.09 On this, Dream Theater's seventh studio effort, the heavier elements of the band's music come to the forefront. Although the masterful balance of rhythmic interplay, jazzy arrangement, and catchy melodies is ever-present on this two-disc offering, the strong, crunchy guitar sound and powerhouse percussion are pushed more into prominence, helped along by the crystal clear production of drummer Mike Portnoy and guitarist John Petrucci. The first disc is comprised of five tracks, averaging about 10 minutes each and the second disc is a 42-minute opus complete with overture and finale. The length of the songs, rather than being a hindrance, allows for both a sense of completeness and an improvisational element to the tracks, making them fun to listen to.
The virtuoso skills of each instrumentalist are shown in running keyboard lines, pounding bass lines, and finger-twisting guitar solos. This mastery is expressed even more through the control heard in the ...

| | Quiet Riot Metal Health CD (1983) Bonus Tracks; Remastered
Mission CD music
$7.59 In the late 1970s, bands such as Van Halen and Cheap Trick tempered hard rock riffs with pop melodies and pin-up boy good looks, resulting in big time success. With the advent of MTV in the early 1980s, groups such as Loverboy, Def Leppard, and especially Quiet Riot softened the sound even more, taking 'pop metal' straight to the top of the charts. Both metalheads and popsters latched onto QR's sticky sweet hard rock, as its debut, METAL HEALTH, became one of the biggest rock releases of 1983.
Although its success was based largely on the strength of two shout-along anthems (a cover of Slade's "Cum on Feel the Noize" and its own riff-heavy title track), METAL HEALTH turned out to be their most consistent album. There were several other winning numbers, such as the love song "Don't Want to Let You Go" and the charging "Slick Black ...
