Not as good as hoped
The music portrayed in the movie, does not come across as well in the soundtrack..sigh. I also think the songs I was initially attracted to were either redone for this cd or excluded. Some tracks are enjoyable.

Good but not good
Alot of good songs in soundtrack but like everyone else has said, it doesnt reflect the movie...
Mint Royale's song was one of the pinnecle point of the movie but was not included maybe cause it was used in Get Carter soundtrack.
They should of made two volume cd that includes all of the songs. I would pay extra to get all the songs.

WOW
This is amazing how the music was matched to the movie. It captures what the scenes were conveying. The best music scored for a movie. It set the tone. Just listen to the words of the songs and remember the scenes in the movie. Beautiful! Even if you don't know the movie the CD is moving and true talent.

Good But Not What the Movie Portrayed.
Vanilla Sky the Movie had the best songs I've heard in a while. now this is something that the soundtrack lacked. The two out of the three best songs from the movie are left out. These songs include "The Nothing Song" by Sigur Ros and "Ladies And Gentlemen We Are Floating In Space" by Spiritualized. This isn't a bad album, but I'm dissapointed with the song selection.

some of the great songs from this incredible movie
This disc has a pretty wide range of songs, including some of my favorites from the movie, like 'Everything In It's Right Place,' and 'Mondo '77,' which evoke memories of the compelling storyline while standing alone as fine songs. The downside to this compilation is simply what it lacks: Another 70 minutes or so of music were used in the movie, and totally excluded from the official soundtrack. Some of these unincluded songs can be hard to find, but are worth searching for, such as 'From Rusholme With Love,' by Mint Royale, from the scene in Times Square. Overall, this CD offers a great and diverse collection of music. If you expect to hear the full range of sounds from the movie itself, though, you'll be disappointed.
