It's about time Columbia records release a CD worthy of a mega star like Mariah. It includes previously unreleased but widely heard tracks,"Butterfly, Forever, and Underneath The Stars." True fans will delight in the inclusion of the remix of " All I want for Christmas is you", how timely. This definitely wets the appetite for whats to come in 2002.

Mariah Carey is a goddess! This collection of her hit singles is superb! All the Mariah haters out there need to stop. How can anyone deny the outstanding achievements of this amazing vocalist. "One Sweet Day" spent a record 16 weeks atop the Hot 100 Billboard singles chart, "Fantasy" became the first single for a female solo artist to debut #1 and her singles have charted 61 weeks.So she is an ICON! Mariah Carey "Greatest Hits" showcase her 15 #1 singles, history making collaborations, and so much more. This is a MUST for TRUE Mariah fans!

Blessed with a voice that covers more of a range than anyone this side of Minnie Riperton, and a knack for ingratiating, breezy pop/R&B, Mariah Carey became one of the premier pop divas of the '90s. For those who were hibernating during that decade, #1's lays it all out in an easily digestible format, presenting Carey's biggest and best under one roof. From the inspirational message of the poignant ballad "Hero" to the roots nod of "I'll Be There" (with impressive assistance from Trey Lorenz), it's clear that Carey has charisma to match her chops. On the infectious, almost giddy "Dream Lover" she voices her romantic desires so sweetly that the listener is moved by the urge to jump into the track on a white horse and whisk her off to some mythological paradise. Fear not, as the Long Island native bounces back nicely by playing to her strengths as an exceptional balladeer and someone with an ear for a catchy fusion of hip-hop beats and R&B rhythms.
