5 stars Got Your Dancin' Shoes?
This sampling of Anita O'Day from 1941 to 1950 is great music and great fun. If you aren't familiar with it, I'll tell you that the swing/big band sound was exuberant, and musically it was top notch. Anita has to be one of its top female vocalists; to me there's no one quite like her in this genre. These songs are all wonderful and the remastering of these old mono recordings is very good; the mono aspect has not detracted at all. The liner notes provide an informative summary of her career. Seventy-four minutes of great music.
