In retrospect, Opiate seems a little haphazard, but it's possible to hear the seeds of Tool's bleak, cerebral metal in such cuts as "Sweat" and "Opiate." Opiate album The two live tracks, "Cold and Ugly" and "Jerk-Off," don't sound out of place, since they share Tool's characteristic undertow of gloom and doom and the EP as a whole points toward the ground the group explored in Undertow and Ænima. ~ Stephen Thomas Erlewine

Here's the plot to the story of Tool waaaaay back I'm surprise they've added two live numbers to this 6-track EP set. It's not quite where Undertow and Aenima live up quite to their potential just yet. But some invigorating numbers to be intrigued here. Where did it start? Just listen here and I've found out. I hope! By orangegreendesolate
