After the Sturm and Drang of EXPRESS, some might have expected the next Love and Rockets record-released barely a year later-to be the palate-cleansing equivalent of musical sherbet. More of a main course than a dessert, EARTH, SUN, MOON is every bit EXPRESS' true successor. The album is a melange of hooks galore, crunchy glam-guitar riffs, Byrds-like acoustic moments, and even the occasional flute solo. The delightfully loopy "No New Tale to Tell," a somewhat improbable cross between Nick Drake and Jethro Tull, proved a substantial Radio and MTV hit.
From the Bolan-esque "The Mirror People" to the whimsical, almost British-dancehall bounce of "Lazy," EARTH shifts gears like a Formula One racer on Jolt. This is the sound of a band coming to terms with its sound. On the whole, EARTH is not as raucous as EXPRESS. But the album manages to be more experimental without even hinting at the largely electronic direction Love and Rockets would pursue on later albums.
Remastered from original tapes and now includes 16-page color booklet with lyrics. Features 'No New Tale To Tell'. Beggars Banquet.
All tracks have been digitally remastered.
Love And Rockets: Daniel Ash (vocals, guitar, saxophone); David J (vocals, bass); Kevin Haskins (drums).

Earth Sun Moon album
$9.99 Digitally remastered by John A. Rivers (1999, Woodbine Studios).
Though the years have deadened its impact somewhat, there is still a visceral thrill to be drawn from replaying the first Love and Rockets album, a sense of the first step taken towards a brave new world, and a miasmic whirl of psychedelic intent that masks intents even darker than the preceding Bauhaus ever envisioned. Recorded and released in 1985, riding to club acclaim on the back of the "Ball of Confusion" remake, and aligning its makers with a destiny and fame that no one could ever have predicted, ...
| | Ramones Leave Home CD (1977) Deluxe Edition
Earth Sun Moon CD music
$6.05 Digitally remastered by Bill Inglot and Dan Hersch (Digiprep).
Released only months after RAMONES, the Ramones' second album pales slightly in comparison to its stone-classic predecessor--but only slightly. LEAVE HOME contains enough all-time Ramones anthems--"Commando," "Pinhead" (which introduces the legendary "Gabba Gabba Hey" chant), and "Gimme Gimme Shock Treatment," to name only three--that it's still an essential document of the New York punk scene. Rhino's remastered 2001 ...

Earth Sun Moon music CDs
$5.99 Principally recorded at Media Sound, New York, New York. Includes liner notes by Legs McNeil and Arturo Vega.
Digitally remastered by Dan Hersch and Bill Inglot (Digiprep).
The third of the Ramones' original quartet of albums, 1977's ROCKET TO RUSSIA is actually a big improvement over the slightly disappointing LEAVE HOME, released earlier in 1977. While not as solidly perfect as RAMONES, ROCKET TO RUSSIA contains very little fat and boasts ...
| | Love And Rockets Express CD (1986) Remastered
Earth Sun Moon songs
$10.15 Digitally remastered by John A. Rivers (2001, Woodbine Studios).
Every time Love And Rockets released a new record during the 1980's they were reminded they lived under not only under the shadow of their previous band, Bauhaus, but also with the presence of that band's ex-frontman Peter Murphy, with whose solo career they found themselves in direct competition. Fortunately, by EXPRESS, the band had finally come into their own. Sounding something like a Goth version of ...

| | Jeff Bjorck This I Know: Ageless Hymns Of Faith CD (2008)
Earth Sun Moon CD music
$17.09 Jeff Bjorck grew up with the grand old hymns. They rang out from the record player and radio at home, and he sang them every week in church. His deep love for these classic melodies has inspired his fourth Pure Piano CD, This I Know: Ageless Hymns of Faith. With nine new hymn arrangements and six returning favorites, this CD features almost 75 minutes of Bjorck’s interpretations of the music that helped to shape his faith in Christ. He states, “Each of these pieces is a personal favorite, anchored in rich history, relevant for today, and pointing me to a ‘hope and a future’ (Jeremiah 29:11).”The six tracks previously released on earlier CDs were recorded between 1995 and 2005, as were “Tis So Sweet To Trust In Jesus,” “It Is Well With My Soul,” and “Jesus Loves Me.” The remaining six new pieces were recorded in 2007. This I Know provides more of Jeff’s signature quiet music to calm the heart in a noisy world. A number of the arrangements can also be enjoyed with ...
