This album represents Celine Dion's return to recording after a lengthy hiatus (nobody ever believed that "retirement" guff) taken to spend time with her family. As such, the aptly titled A NEW DAY HAS COME finds everybody's favorite French Canadian diva audibly reveling in her return to the vocation for which she was born. The title track finds Dion's elegant voice resplendent amid a pool of twinkling synthesizers, full of energy and joy. "Right in Front of You" opens with some attention-grabbing violin-sawing before giving way to a Euro-synth sound that falls halfway between power ballad and dance tune a la Cher. There's no question about the balladic nature of "Have You Ever Been in Love," it's the kind of heart-on-sleeve tune Dion's big, soaring voice was made for. Elsewhere, Dion stretches out a bit, touching on R&B with "Rain, Tax (It's Inevitable)" and a poignant version of Eden Ahbez's standard "Nature Boy," but that familiar vocal stamina is consistent throughout A NEW DAY HAS COME.

I like these songs. It is not one of her best albums but the tracks are nice, After a while the songs will grow on you.

This is a very pretty collection of songs, with a strong tilt toward the Love Song genre. This CD doesn't quite match the range of her previous CD, "All The Way...A Decade Of Song", but it still has that near-SACD clarity that'll give you goosebumps on a high end system.

I find this is just beautiful. I play it all the time. She is like she has never been away. She is great, I love her voice. The songs are good choices.

\"Crazy Coyote\" documents live, blue-collar rock and roll at it\'s finest. Lewi Longmire has built a reputation as Portland\'s multi-instrumentalist \"go to guy.\" In the years since relocating to Portland from Albuquerque, New Mexico, he\'s been included on shows and recordings by many of the Northwest\'s finest bands and songwriters. He\'s worked with national acts Michael Hurley, Victoria Williams, Jerry Joseph and Tara Jane O\'Neill as well as local luminaries Fernando, James Low, Little Sue, Casey Neill, Michael Jodell, the Freak Mountain Ramblers and Annalisa Tornfelt. His presence is so ubiquitous in the Portland music scene that REM\'s Peter Buck commented recently, \"It\'s funny...
