This is Maiden's best.
If you want Maiden at their most influential as a metal band, this is it. It is dark, aggressive and bold. Killers, Number of the Beast, and Piece of Mind represent the best of Iron Maiden as a band that influenced the genre of music known as metal in general. Many Death Metal and Black Metal Acts name these three albums (along with Venom's Welcome to Hell, Black Metal albums and Mercyful Fate's Melissa and Don't Break the Oath albums) as their inspiration for writing music. Obviously, death and black metal are the most aggressive genres of metal music most recently. After this album they softened up a hair on Powerslave and got a whole lot softer on Somewhere in Time (both excellent, just not as aggressive). Honestly, any fan of the metal genre should own this album. It never gets old.

Good, but not the best
"Piece of mind" was a good album, but diffently not the best. Stand out tracks include The very cool "The Trooper" and also "Where eagles dare" and " Die with your boots on" although nothing really new, the album did sell very well. I really have no complaints,Still very dark and very melodic. Maiden still ruled!!
