Those who know Baby Beesh look forward to what he's going to do next. It seems like every time around something has changed; he's working with new people, in a new group, on a new label -- pick and choose from the above. This album is a funky and eclectic adventure with songs as differing as Beesh's music career itself. He's got party tracks, danceable tracks, deep and bassy beats, a reggae-inspired track, and mellow relaxing tunes, too. While the beats draw you in, the lyrics may lose you. He's not a bad lyricist by any means, but with so many great rappers releasing music nowadays, Baby Beesh is floating somewhere in the middle as far as wording goes. Still, if you're looking for something that's more good music than a gift from lyrical heaven, this is a good listen. ~ Brad Mills

Purchase On Tha Cool CD To buy, Click on price to add to cart | Prophet Posse Body Parts CD (1998)
On Tha Cool album
$14.29 Body Parts features Prophet Posse's large amalgam of rappers laying down horrifying rhymes over Three 6 Mafia-like beats. It's quite a provocative album, not just in terms of the terrifying lyrics, but also in terms of production; these beats are about as hardcore as hardcore rap gets, rivaling Three 6 Mafia's most rousing moments. Given these characteristics, this album probably won't appeal to most rap listeners' tastes, except for the most perverse hardcore rap fanatics. ...
| | Baby Bash Savage Dreams CD (2001)
On Tha Cool CD music
$13.65 Baby Beesh's first album for the Houston-based Dope House imprint finds him mixing his Latin-inflected West Coast flow with Dirty South beats and flavor, courtesy of his new Texan friends. The result is quite effective. Originally from the Bay Area, Beesh was a protégé of legendary Hispanic MC Kid Frost (aka Frost). The influence is apparent in his smooth style, but Beesh doesn't let his heritage dominate Savage Dreams. Rather than make his solo debut a "Latino rap album," it is mostly a Dirty South record, full of the leering boasts and skittering beats that typify the genre. "Whodoo" is a fabulous introduction, giving Beesh space to boast about his ability to party with anyone in a car with beats you can hear ...

On Tha Cool album
$8.49 Principally recorded at The Clinic, Digital Services, Dope House Recording, Houston, Texas; R&D Studios, Albuquerque, New Mexico.
Baby Bash hails from Houston, Texas, but he'll never be confused with the horror-movie violence of the local Geto Boys or the syrup-swiggers of the Screwed Up Click; Baby Bash is into his own thing. Signed to a major on the strength of the ultra-catchy, smooth-R&B-infused hit "Suga Suga," THA SMOKIN' NEPHEW, the spry rapper displays a variety of skills beyond the scope of the single.
While success has blown in overnight, Baby Bash has plied his trade for nearly a decade, and he was a member of the supergroup Latino Velvet in the late 1990s with Kid Frost and Jay Tee of N2DEEP. Bash's strongest point is his versatility-he's as comfortable with a heartfelt R. Kelly-style ballad like "Feeling Me" as with a piece of crunked-out hardcore thuggery like "Yes Suh" or the hippie-like alterna-rap of "Early in the Morning." ...
