I have been compiling my own playlist for my wedding and wanted to see if I missed anything good. Guess not!!! It was a waste of my time to listen to the audio streams of this. The music that I allready had is leaps and bounds better. Dont waste your time with this crap.

BY A THREAD is Gov't Mule's first studio album since HIGH & MIGHTY was issued in 2006. Since that time, bassist Andy Hess has been replaced by Jorgen Carlsson, though Hess appears on two tracks at the end of the album. Carlsson's playing style is much more aggressive than Hess', and is therefore closer - in spirit anyway - to Gov't Mule's original bassist, the late Allen Woody, though he possesses an adventurous sense of time and is harmonically more colorful than either Woody or Hess. One of the best things about the compilations that Nascente issues is that they are generally comprised of vintage material that, while it may not be immediately recognizable to an uninitiated or perhaps less-than-wholly educated listener, is nonetheless truly representative of an artist. This four-raga selection of Ravi Shankar's work could easily have been entitled "A Guide to Indian Sitar Music." These four ragas cover the gamut of Shankar's many stylistic tendencies on the instrument, and they also illustrate the various mannerisms in which Indian classical melodies are architected and established within a raga. Here the various sections are discussed in the liner notes and are readily discernible for anyone interested. That said, each of the four selections here represents a different time of the day and a different mood setting.
