This album's title gives a good indication of what's to be found in its tracks. Though he shows considerable skill in laying down his rhymes, Trick Daddy makes no bones about his message. Throughout THUG HOLIDAY, he goes out of his way to make sure the depth of his gangsterhood and the extent of his Mack Daddy status are spelled out clearly. Such single-mindedness might conceivably get wearing after a while, but the musical landscape Trick Daddy's raps traverse is colorful enough to keep that from happening. Having a different producer on nearly every track gives THUG HOLIDAY a sound as varied as it is vital, with new sonic accoutrements grabbing your ear on each tune, from the click-and-pop percussion of "In Da Wind" to the visceral synth bass on "All I Need."

Still Deliverin I just want to say that Trick got his skills, but he kinda disappointed me on this album. I mean it wasn't a bad album, but it coulda been way better. After putting out 4 albums before, I thought Trick would master this album and make this his best album up to date. Unfortunately, Miami artists dont get the repsect or recognition they deserve so to get any they gotta drop tight albums.I just feel like since Miami is a popular city in the entertainment industry that more artists and labels should be getting national attention. As far as Trick, he needs to solidify his skills, promote other local artists such as Piccalo, Pocalik Klan, or Pitbull, and continue to hold it down for the M-I-A-M-I. Go head Trick!! Thats my dawg This album was so tight. He has them deep lyrics on tracks like "Thug Holiday", "Ain't no santa clause", and "Rains it pours". Then came back wit them tight beats on tracks 2,3,4,7,13,and 17 This cd was off da hook. Go by it if ya havent already. It's one of his best 4sho. Good...not Great.. Trick daddy has been one of my favorite rappers. This album was good but it still lacked some substance. His second album for the thugs I really thought he was headed to the top but it seems he has become stagnated at the same level for three albums. If his next album is not any better it will be the last. We MUST demand more from our hip hop artists. Submitted by a reviewer (North Carolina) Was This Review Helpful? Yes No
