Roots Revolution: The Louisiana Hayride Recordings music CDs
$11.79 By the time of Paul Revere & the Raiders recorded Hard 'N' Heavy late in 1968, Mark Lindsay and Paul Revere were the only remaining original members of the band -- yet, surprisingly, this album consisted entirely of band originals, which is a pretty daring move for the first long-player featuring a new lineup of any band; even more amazing is that it's all good music. Bassist/guitarist Keith Allison, in particular, proved himself a special asset to the group throughout this album, not only with some ...

$6.39 Ka’hrynBorn to a Jamaican-Panamanian mother and a Jamaican-Chinese father, Ka’hryn began her journey to stardom in Bronx, New York. Ever since the R&B songstress performed as Lauryn Hill in her churches reenactment of Sister Act II, she knew she wanted to become a star. “It just felt right…I was only 12, but I had never felt that comfortable before.” Realizing what she wanted to do with her life, it came as no surprise that she followed her dreams immediately following high school. A chance encounter would allow Ka’hryn the opportunity to become a member of the girl group, Bellisima Rose, which seemed very promising. However, after stalled negotiations and a series of different group members, Bellisima Rose, ultimately disbanded, but this did not slow down Ka’hryn’s career.Grooming for this moment her entire life, Ka’hryn has been no stranger to the spotlight. A classically trained dancer beginning her training at the Harlem School of the Arts, she has been trained in ballet, tap and jazz since the age of three. Since 2003 she has held seven pageant titles including becoming the first African-American Miss Cities of America Teen. “I was so excited when they called my name as the winner. There were over 400 girls competing against me but I’d worked really hard to prepare. At that point in my life, I was coming out of my girl group situation and I had to pull from everywhere just to compete. Winning just reaffirmed that there is nothing impossible for me.”With the confidence and the crown as Miss Cities of America Teen, Ka’hryn returned to Atlanta to pursue her dream of becoming a singer. In one year, she has coupled with indie label, First Born Music and Entertainment, under the direction of Big Mali. Today, Ka’hryn ...
