An obscure Stones "must to have" for collectors!
Can't believe that some of the songs on this album never became commercially popularized! "I'm Going Down" is made of the same raw-guts, power-drive sound reminiscient of "Gimme Shelter", "Brown Sugar", and many of the other classic, "hey day" Stones material. Got this CD 'cause I want to retire my old LP of this work as a much admired collectible.

Weird & Wonderful Gumbo
This cd will mainly appeal to Stones and 60s/70s-era rock fans due to its mishmash of alternate takes and strange throwaways. But that's the core of its beauty; rock n roll shouldn't be slick or tidy and this 1975 release isn't. What it is is a boozy, decadent, sometimes silly, gutsy and at times, inspired collection of odes to sex, drugs and rock n roll. In other words, it's the Stones baby. Put it on, turn it up and relive those wonderful years when outlaws ruled rock, not accountants.

Oldies But Goodies.
If you like the Rolling Stones' early music, i.e. Aftermath, Out of Our Heads, Hit Makers, etc., you will like this album. Filled with alternative takes and unreleased tracks from the early '60s.
