3 stars Not as good as it could've been...
This compilation CD could've been great had the producers left good enough alone. Many great tracks you remember from the clubs are so remixed they hardly sound like the original track you enjoyed when you were clubbing. Next time, I'll get the originals and compile my own cuts.

If this cd was playing in the clubs, and it was the best music they could play, than I'd rather sit at home and listen to the radio!

Club Hits 1 is the best collection of great club dance music produced in years. Great music for Go-Go Boys, and X club dancing.

Mark Henry, also known as the Jazz Writer was born in Los Angeles California. His love of music began in his early childhood, listening to legends like Hugh Masekela, James Brown, Donny Hathaway, Stevie Wonder & the Supremes. Drawn by the emotional instrumentation and harmonies, he started learning guitar at the age of 8, bought a bass at age 11 and soon after became the bass player in his uncle's band. He studied bass in High School and it was during these impassioned teenage years that he was captivated by the great jazz innovators of the seventies as they invented a new genre of music.
