| | Best Of Club Hits Vol. 1 CD (3 Customer Reviews)
Best of Club Hits, Vol. 1 is a 26-track two-CD mix by DJ Geoffe. He appeared to have one goal in mind, getting folks out on the floor. The songs are commercial club hits, the type of which can be heard blasting in mainstream dance clubs around the world. Some of the dancefloor smashes found here include Moby's "Bodyrock," Armand Van Helden's "U Don't Know Me," and Daft Punk's epochal "One More Time." One could argue that some of the tracks swing a little too close to being too bland and even annoying, like Eiffel 65's grating "Blue (Da Ba Dee)," but for the most part this is a solid collection that mainstream dance fans will find a whole lot of fun. ~ Tim Sendra

Best Of Club Hits Vol. 1 album
$9.09 By the late '90s Sony had begun to introduce budget sets that raided their vaults and often arbitrarily grouped songs together for mass consumption. Hits of the 80s, Vol. 1 and Forever Soul were two of the worst offenders. By 2001, the label decided ...

$19.29 The "This Is It!" liner notes inside Best of Club Hits, Vol. 2 should give you some indication of how over-the-top the collection is. There are as many exclamation marks as there are words, so don't expect anything cerebral. That said, the collection does ...

Best Of Club Hits Vol. 1 album
$9.09 Someone at Sony must have a serious love of dance music, because it's hard to believe this sprawling, hard to figure out compilation was conceived by the marketing department. There are some big names on Everybody Dance Now! Remixed, Remodeled & Remade but a heck of a lot of little ones, and some that'll only ring bells for club historians with a taste for the mainstream. The big names aren't always represented ...

Best Of Club Hits Vol. 1 album
$9.85 Mark Henry, also known as the Jazz Writer was born in Los Angeles California. His love of music began in his early childhood, listening to legends like Hugh Masekela, James Brown, Donny Hathaway, Stevie Wonder & the Supremes. Drawn by the emotional instrumentation and harmonies, he started learning guitar at the age of 8, bought a bass at age 11 and soon after became the bass player in his uncle's band. He studied bass in High School and it was during these impassioned teenage years that he was captivated by the great jazz innovators of the seventies as they invented a new genre of music. Geniuses like Grover Washington Jr., Bob James, Ronnie Laws, Herbie Hancock, Dexter Wenzel, Donald Byrd, Patrice Rushen, Bobbi Humphrey, the Jazz Crusaders and a list far too long to complete here, were combining tight ...
