Having been a Fela fan for over 25 years this is a gem of a cd,so nice to see the music of Fela live on through others.

5 stars This Afro Beat / Hip Hop Album is gonna be blazin'
The new installment from the RED HOT organization is RED HOT + RIOT, a tribute album to the late afro beat inventor, Fela Kuti. On this compilation album (with net proceeds going towards aids awareness, action, and prevention charities) the music of Fela is "remixed" and redone with today's best in Neo-Soul and Hip Hop I was able to hear a few tracks, both real tight! especially Shuffering + SHming featuring Dead Prez, Jorge Ben Jor, Talib Kewli, Bilal, and Positive Force, you gotta hear this track, ITS ONE OF THE MOST INNOVATIVE SONGS I"VE HEARD IN A WHILE! Buy this album when it comes out!!
