Orchestra+PowerMetal=Luca Turilli.
I love Rhapsody, and therefore i love everything that comes out under a heand of the mastermind behind the band, in this case Luca Turilli, His second solo album that sound just like rhapsody without Fabio, but still with a wery srong singer, Music is absolutely stunning, Close your eyes and you might think that you are watching "The Lord Of The Rings."

Luca has got to be one of the most talented composers of modern metal. Luca's work shows reason as to why its time for Yngwie to hang up the twinkies (oops I mean Guitar). This album reminds me of "Phantom Menace" era STAR WARS meets Rhapsody. Hayer's vocals are excellent, when they are not being hidden under all of the choirs. The arrangments on this album are amazing. Get this album at all costs, and hear one of the most original creations to come out of the power metal scene. I thought the whole "Cosmic Metal" thing Turilli came up with was a bit much to define the album, but I have to say it fits perfectly. I wonder if Luca is campaigning to get in the next Star Wars movie? Beware of the Dark Sith Lord Turilli. Hmmmmm

After Between the Buried and Me pushed metalcore purists away with their most progressive release, COLORS, they decided to push even harder for their fifth release. A diverse outing with an unruly amount of genres crammed into only six songs, THE GREAT MISDIRECT is a highly adventurous, very convoluted, wildly dynamic, and extremely difficult listen. Briggs, Waring, Rogers, Waggoner, and Richardson are in top form, with their script-flipping abilities intact and their technical chops at their most extreme. This is a guitarists' album first and foremost (although bass players and drummers are in for a treat, as well), and the playing, while showy, is incendiary. Like a cross between Dream Theater (whom they toured with in 2008) and Dillinger Escape Plan, Between the Buried and Me meld creative aptitude and roaring fury as they skate genres, stapling together speed metal, hardcore, carnival jazz, chamber pop, and a few indefinable Mike Patton-esque styles. "Fossil Genera -- A Feed from Cloud Mountain" fuses loungy Henry Mancini piano with metal guitar and guttural growls in a lighthearted way, but this only lasts for a few minutes; the song takes a dark turn into eight minutes of screaming speed metal before seguing into an epic orchestral outro with syrupy singing by vocalist Tommy Rogers. Although Ozzy Osbourne received enormous commercial success with 1986's THE ULTIMATE SIN, his detour into glam metal proved unsatisfying for both Osbourne and his fans. Osbourne spent most of 1987 readying his postponed live album with Randy Rhoads for release, TRIBUTE, and pondering his future musical direction. He elected to return to the kind of music that got him where he was in the first place--loud, unapologetic heavy metal. He also decided to replace guitarist Jake E. Lee with a young newcomer from New Jersey, Zakk Wylde, for 1989's NO REST FOR THE WICKED. Wylde had been a lifelong Ozzy/Sabbath fan, and resembled Randy Rhoads both in appearance and in playing style.
While the album is not on par with such past classics as BLIZZARD OF OZ and DIARY OF A MADMAN, NO REST FOR THE WICKED did represent a return to Osbourne's roots (thanks in part to longtime Queen producer Roy Thomas Baker).
