Count Bass-D Dwight Spitz Songs Dwight Spitz Music Review Average Rating: (5 out of 5 stars) Living Legend (not to be confused with Living Legends) Count Bass D is the most underrated producer/emcee out there. He has masterminded and created one of the greatest displays of sampling ever! Let's get the word out about Count Bass! He's not Doom's brother, but he'll "Roc" you "Sub"woofer! That's why they call him COUNT BASS! Submitted by Charles (Austin, TX) Was This Review Helpful? Yes No
Certified Classic...
I agree with reviewer Tim below. Count is slept on way too much. He is not the greatest of emcees by any means, but on production alone I can't think of too many that can do what he can do. I can't believe that major labels have not tried to sign this man. 'Dwight Spitz' is as original as it gets, it's music from the heart. Submitted by Culture (Queens, NY) Was This Review Helpful? One of the most creative hip hop releases EVER....
First off, Rolling Stones must be 'sniffing' glue to give this release only 3 stars. The true underground hip hop listener will realize after 1 listen that 'Dwight Spitz' is a classic. The tracks range from 1 to 2 minutes long which is great for those with a short attention span, but simply put the beats are so 'melodic'. I can listen to this day after day and never get bored of it because Count Bass layered the production and blended sounds perfectly. Count is truly under-rated behind the boards. Don't sleep on a real gem of an album, pick it up TODAY!

Dwight Spitz album
$8.09 Diamond D had quietly provided some exciting production work and made strides within the rap music industry and community throughout the early '90s, but his name didn't become immediately recognizable until his classic guest appearance rapping on A Tribe Called Quest's "Show Business" ("Take it from Diamond/It's like mountain climbing/When it comes to rhyming/You gotta put your time in"), off their masterful second album, The Low End Theory. Even amid vintage verses by such lauded hip-hop company as Tribe's Q-Tip and Phife and Brand Nubian's Lord Jamar and Sadat X, something about Diamond D's forthright and rock-solid, ...

Dwight Spitz music CDs
$8.69 This is an enhanced audio CD which contains regular audio tracks and multimedia computer files.
PeteStrumentals follows Jay Dee's Welcome 2 Detroit as the second offering in BBE's producer spotlight "Beat Generation" series. If you approach Pete Rock's joint as a song-oriented pop album, you may feel disappointed. Only two tracks ("Cake" and "Nothin' Lesser - Jamie's Mix") feature MCs and the repetitive, consistently mid-tempo beats get somewhat monotonous ...
| | J Dilla Donuts CD (2006)
Dwight Spitz songs
$12.19 Donuts was made on a hospital bed and in a home studio, on a stripped-down setup with a stack of vinyl. Released on its maker's 32nd birthday, three days before he passed away, the album has a resonance deeper than anyone could've hoped for or even imagined. Some who were close to Dilla have said that there are hidden messages in the samples, the track titles, and who knows where else. It's impossible not to speculate about some things, like the track titled "Don't Cry," the looped "broken and blue" from a version of "Walk on By," the presence of Eddie Kendricks singing "My people, hold on," or the fact that there are 31 tracks, a possible signal that Dilla survived a little longer than he expected. Then again, for every possible message, there are two or three elements ...
