Also available in a 3-pack with W.A.S.P. and THE HEADLESS CHILDREN.
W.A.S.P.'s second full-length release, THE LAST COMMAND, showed that leader/principal songwriter Blackie Lawless was attempting to write better songs. While some of the tracks still contain the gross-out element that made the band's debut a success, Lawless wanted the public to start taking his band more seriously, and not focus so much on W.A.S.P.'s stage antics. Though THE LAST COMMAND is not as challenging as such future albums as THE HEADLESS CHILDREN and THE CRIMSON IDOL would be, 1985's THE LAST COMMAND contained several tracks that would become concert staples for years to come.
Two of the album's best-known tracks remain "Wild Child" and "Blind in Texas," along with the not-so-subtly-titled "Ballcrusher" and "Jack Action." The late-'90s CD reissue this hit album includes several bonus cuts and live takes of "Animal (F**k Like a Beast)" and others.
2003 remastered reissue of 1985 album, packaged in a digipak, includes seven bonus tracks, 'Savage' (Studio B), 'Mississippi Queen' (Studio), 'Animal Fuck Like A Beast' (Live), 'Helion' (Live), 'Love Machine' (Live), 'On Your Knees' (Live), & 'I Want To Be Somebody' (Live). 17 tracks in all packaged in Digipak format. Snapper.
Recorded at The Pasha Music House, Hollywood, California.

wild child WASP at their best, had this on vinyl, loved it then, still do now. Before idiots like Marilyn Manson hit the scene, real in your face metal artists like Blackie Lawless ruled the far edge of metal no anti-christ publicity stunts here just adrenaline, fist pounding anthems that rock hard today as they did twenty years ago.Nice job on the packaging of the album. Bonus tracks are great, previously unreleased Savage is real good, should have made the cut on original album. Submitted by toolman04684 (Maine,USA) Was This Review Helpful? Yes No

Last Command album
$6.75 Digitally remastered by Joseph M. Palmaccio (Sony Music Studios, New York, New York).
With their 1984 release, the pleasantly titled BALLS TO THE WALL, German metallists Accept set their sights on the last frontier the band had yet to conquer--America. Like their contemporaries the Scorpions, who also specialized in hard rock and hailed from Germany, Accept started out as a straight up heavy metal band, but as the '80s wore on, softened their high volume sound with a dose of melody.
While BALLS TO THE WALL introduced Accept to whole new legion of fans stateside, it wasn't the huge US smash they'd hoped for. Still, BALLS remains one of Accept's best releases, spawning the dark yet anthemic title track, as well as the screamalong ditties "London Leatherboys" and "Love Child."
Accept's most notorious album, Balls to the Wall was also their biggest commercial success. Following hot upon the heels of their creative breakthrough, ...
| | W A S P Dying For The World CD (2002)
Last Command CD music
$9.69 In the liner notes that Blackie Lawless wrote for Dying for the World, W.A.S.P.'s founder/lead singer angrily declares, "F*ck political correctness; that went down with the World Trade Center." Of course, being politically correct is something that Lawless has never been accused of. Back in the '80s, his over-the-top antics offended people of all political persuasions. Lawless always loved to be shocking -- Alice Cooper and Ozzy Osbourne taught him well -- but on Dying for the World, the veteran headbanger never gets into shock value for the sake of shock value. This 2002 release has a consistently serious tone, and that seriousness was, to a large degree, inspired by the terrorist attacks of September 11, 2001. Lawless' liner notes assert that when the World Trade Center became a mass grave, he was determined to record an album that expressed his anger -- and Dying for the World is definitely angry. However, Lawless' lyrics don't necessarily come across as overtly political. ...

Last Command music CDs
$9.89 Also available in a 3-pack with THE LAST COMMAND and THE HEADLESS CHILDREN.
By 1984, Kiss had been unmasked for a year and Alice Cooper was on hiatus. But L.A. bands like W.A.S.P. (which stood for "We Are Sexual Perverts") were picking up the theatrical, shock-metal slack quite nicely. The band would wear eerie make-up, tight leather, and knee-high boots, while wielding a variety of outlandish props. Musically, ...
| | W A S P Inside The Electric Circus CD (1986) Digipak
Last Command songs
$9.89 Remastered reissue of the classic metal album, originally released in 1986, packaged in a Digipak. 14 tracks including two bonus tracks, 'Flesh & Fire' (7 inch B-side) & 'D.B. Blues' (12 inch B-side). 2003.
While W.A.S.P. remained a gimmick-heavy live act (around this time, Blackie Lawless had a codpiece that would shoot sparks!), ...
| | W A S P Headless Children CD (1988) Digipak
Last Command album
$9.99 Also available in a 3-pack with THE LAST COMMAND and W.A.S.P.
This 1998 reissue includes 6 bonus tracks and liner notes by Dante Bonutto.
With 1988's The Headless Children, W.A.S.P. attempted to be taken as serious artists (for the most part). And while singer/guitarist/leader Blackie Lawless expressed excitement about the band's current lineup, which included longtime guitarist Chris Holmes, bassist Johnny Rod, Quiet Riot drummer Frankie Banali, and Uriah Heep keyboardist Ken Hensley -- the complete group never toured. With the band concentrating more on the music than the gimmicks (the group was pictured sans ghoulish makeup and costumes), The Headless Children remains W.A.S.P.'s most accomplished work. The album's best-known tracks remain their cover of ...

$8.39 Over 15 years into their career, Savatage refused to stay still -- if anything, the group continued to improve in the '90s, as their 14th album, The Wake of Magellan, proved. Long ago, the group began fusing heavy metal with progressive rock, but they've rarely recorded a concept album as enthralling as The Wake of Magellan. Employing a fictional character, ...
