| | Israel Real CD (2002)
Best Of Russ Taff CD music
$8.49 Surrounded on either side by live albums, Israel & New Breed's Real is in the minority as a full-on studio album. Having made a name for themselves touring the country and putting on larger-than-life praise & worship concerts, going into the studio could have been a fish-out-of-water experience for Israel and his crew. Though the color of the project is certainly different, including sounds otherwise not heard from this group, including the occasional drum sample and sweeping string segments, Israel's musical integrity and hallmark quality make the studio seem as natural a fit as the stage. The lack of an audience to interact with does dampen some of the electricity that his devoted fans have come to expect. If the listener can transition and appreciate this giant of the gospel music world in a new context, there are some real gems to be found and appreciated. The dramatic arrangements are epic in scope, and the band kicks with surgical precision, as always. Every tune has a different timbre, a different color, which is a welcome change from the limiting nature of live projects. Of course the fidelity is lush and exciting. All ...

| | Everyday Sunday Stand Up CD (2002)
Best Of Russ Taff album
$12.59 Hailing from Columbus, OH, Everyday Sunday is a band whose debut disc drips with Midwest flavoring. The band utilizes a sound that's predominantly driven by a guitar attack and the apt vocal stylings of Trey Pearson. Cuts like "Would You Leave" and "Mess With Your Mind" are fine examples of hooky power pop melodies that tend to stick in your craw. With cuts like"Wait" and "Lose It Again" the band kicks into overdrive with heavier vocals and an intense rhythmic attack that drives each tune nicely. While about half the disc offers a landscape of pop/rock ventures, the other half treats the listener to a lighter fare of gems à la the Gin Blossoms ...

Best Of Russ Taff songs
$10.59 Though it only took a few years for ZOEGirl to become one of the biggest Christian teen-pop acts in the world, the group's albums reflect a maturity that many bands take much longer to achieve. ROOM TO BREATHE is as danceable and energetic as anything burning up the secular charts, but ZOEGirl's songs aren't afraid to address serious themes. "Scream" is a moody mid-tempo tune concerning a lost ...
