An Oft' Forgotten Gem
J.W.H. was a shock when it first emerged. It is Dylan writing and performing with a first-take intensity- and on this edition, the remastering strips away any sonic 'scrim' that distanced the listener from the songs. Listen on a hi-rez system for purety of sound, immediacy of performance, and the wisdom of the lyrics. It is like a glass of spring water in a desaert.

VERY MELLOW DYLAN--AKIN TO BOB'S WORK ON "NASHVILLE SKYLINE". EXTREMELY EASY LISTENING WITH THE POETRY OF THE MASTER. HIGHLY RECOMMENDED!!!

Not a better known one, but underplayed treat
The good thing about this one is it's not one of the Dylan CD's that got overplayed to the point where you might have gotten tired of it. He cut this one after the life threatening motorcycle accident and his voice is retrained and restrained but it's beautifully musically, all entirely acoustic, and fantastic lyrics-- some of his best lyrics. It's a masterpiece, the last of his early era, but something you can listen to again and again and enjoy the genius.
