From the infamous open-call auditions to the eleventh hour recruitment of former Snot axeman Mike Smith, finding a suitable guitarist to replace Wes Borland proved to be a daunting task for Limp Bizkit. Pushing off somewhat from their trademark rap-metal model, the songs that comprise RESULTS MAY VARY display a band reaching musically.

"Gimme the Mic" carries on the spirit the band found success with on SIGNIFICANT OTHER, but the majority of this latest effort finds frontman Fred Durst and company leaning towards a more melodic and musical stance, both instrumentally and vocally. Nods to contemporaries sneak in on "Eat You Alive" and "Down Another Day," (with a clear Tool influence prevailing), and uber-producer Brendan O'Brien mixes in a crisp, biting production. The lyrics to the classic Who track "Behind Blue Eyes" struck enough of a responsive chord with Durst that he was inspired to cover it, going so far as to add an additional verse. Rap metal may be going the way of the dinosaur, but Limp Bizkit seems to have the staying power to carry on.

Fred does it again. Everyone should own this one. Limp definetly showes that they don't need Wes to rock.

this cd is alot different from their past stuff.but different is good sometimes.you will be suprised at how well fred can sing.a few of the tracks are hard like the old stuff but all in all this cd is still a good buy

The new Limp Bizket CD was one of the best i have heard in awhile. Very good beats some strong lyrics. Must by for those who like Limp Bizket

2 stars dissapointing
After their previous ulbum i thought,the follow up will be super great but i wated my last buck on the ulbum,it`s so polite,so soft vevrything you would`nt expcet from limp bizkit,the lyrics are bloody depressing,so mind dragging.This ulbum is for the die hard fans only.

4 stars Its Pretty Okay!! What?
Let Me Speak For the Metal Heads. I really don't know how to say what I think of this album. First I love Heavy Metal, that was ...HEAVY Metal, these guys are definately not that and I have their other albums and they were never heavy metal either. Secondly they're not rap, which you genrally ad a c to the start of. Howvever that said and done I like limp bizkit and feel this is a touching album. lyrics are strong, tempo is slow and I think if you really listen you can't help but like it. Mellow is a word another reviewer used and that is a perfect word for it. No.11 is the best for me. Good album but let there be metal: Machine Head, In Flames, Sepultura, Soilwork, Chimaira, Slipknot, Fear Factory, Killswitch Engage and so on and so forth. 4 Stars cd for a 2 stars rock band.
