Any album that features both boy-band vet JC Chasez and goth-punk icon Siouxsie Sioux calls for a double take, and once Basement Jaxx have your attention, they pull you into the non-stop house party of KISH KASH. On their third album, the UK duo of Simon Ratcliffe and Felix Buxton joins the ranks of the Chemical Brothers and Fatboy Slim by including a remarkable roster of high-profile guest artists that extends to soul/funk diva Me'Shell NdegeOcello and up-and-coming British rapper Dizzee Rascal.
KISH KASH opens with the energetic "Good Luck," which presents the buoyant, Motown-influenced vocals of Lisa Kekaula against a loopy backdrop of distorted synthesizer and a full string section. Other standout tracks include the two Prince-inspired numbers that feature NdegeOcello ("Right Here's the Spot" and "Feels Like Home") and cockney lyricist Dizzee Rascal's delirious Eastern-inflected contribution. The true highlight, however, is the driving, fuzz-bass-fueled title track, which features Siouxsie Sioux's unmistakable vocals over the surging sonic assault. A fun, clever, and always unpredictable outing, KISH KASH is house music for people who don't think they like house music.

I would have to agree with sorrydonthaveone, this album is very cheesy, but I also agree with BJ, I love "Plug it in". I like to dance to this album, but certain songs could be excluded. For example, "Benjilude", "Cosmolude", "If I ever Recover", and "Feels like Home". Although, I love "Hot N' Cold", "Lucky Star", "Plug it In", and "Kish Kash". It simply depends on the genre of music you like. Eclectic, is the one word I would use to describe this "funky" album.

First-time listener, captured by 'Plug It In' with the amazing JC. Whole album is extraordinary, especially with all the artists featured. Basement Jaxx are wonderful.

I have got to say that this group has skill in what they do. I was immediately drawn in to this group after I heard the lead single. This is excellent music to chop wood, cook, play cards, drink, make love, dance, drive, perform surgery, learn, jog, skydive, sleep, and breathe to!!!

since i bought "remedy" album i thaught they were a bit cheesy, This was confirmed when i borrowed "rooty" of my mate.I baught "kish kash" two weeks ago and it was what i was expecting from them,the same beats but with a little twist take "Dizzee Rascal" for example it a typical tune from Basement jaxx but they've let dizzy do his own stuff over the top of it."plug it in" is another cracking tune with it's little electronic riffs and great beats behind all the tunes

THE DANGERS release their first CD with a mix of old and new material. Pure pop songs like Radio City, Dedication, and Get High trace three decades of rock music, and were very influential to bands like Cracker and Camper Van Beethoven. A review from GAROD: Dedication - The DangersAgain, I'm too biased to accurately assess this album, but the duo of Johnny Hickman and Chris LeRoy bring together influences from all over the map.
