Excellent cd with various song structures
From uptempo songs (first track) to more laid back acoustic songs, this cd has it all. Each song is written, arranged and played so well that I can't stop listening to this cd. I found it hard to caterogise due to many changes in tempo, but each band member plays an equal part, from guitars to beautiful synth work which only accompanies the excellent vocals.

who mew?
i never heard of this band until catching the song "symmetry" on college radio. i didn't know what i was missing. great music. not a skip over track on the whole cd. "snow brigade" and "she came home for christmas" are stand out tracks and the cd closes out with the appropriately titled "comforting sounds".

A lot of good soft pop...
As soon as I heard it, I fell in love with 156. The rest of the album is nice, relaxing soft pop with nice vocals and sweeping sounds.

Very good, but...
...It was definitely no "Glass-Handed Kites" in means of intricateness. I was absolutely enamoured by GHK because of its off-beat time signatures. I wanted more, so I purchased Frengers, and found that most of or all of the albums is written in 4/4. Either way, it is still a great album. If you already have GHK, I would recommend purchasing Frengers. If you don't have either I would recommend purchasing GHK, or, if you have the money, go for both they're both well worth it. Mew has proven themselves worthy of being my favorite band(at least recently.)
