Misty Rowe album
$5.99 The finest example of perfect disco pop, and a record that should be prescribed to musical snobs and manic depressives. The album is a true ambassador of what pop music can be. Jackson whoops and dances through a suite of unforgettable melodies that should be danced to with a smile on your face. Each track offers at least one musical hook, whether it is the beauty of 'Human Nature' (who can resist the 'dada dada da da da') or the 'whoo whoo' of 'Billie Jean'. It's all too good.
Principally recorded at Westlake Audio, Los Angeles, California.

It's always a sign that a group is hot if they release a holiday album mere months after their debut. That's the case with *NSYNC. Their debut was released in America in late March, and in early December, Home for Christmas hit the shelves. Much of the album is devoted to newer material, with only a handful of songs qualifying as standards: "The Christmas Song," "The First Noel," and "O Holy Night." All of it is given the familiar *NSYNC sheen, alternating between slickly produced adult contemporary ballads and lite dance-pop. Fans of the group will certainly find it reasonably enjoyable, even though it makes it clear that the group simply can't rival such peers as the Spice Girls or the Backstreet Boys in terms of charisma. ~ Stephen Thomas ...
| | Temptations Give Love At Christmas CD (1980)
Misty Rowe music CDs
$5.75 This is one of the most classic R&B Christmas albums ever recorded; the Temptations come steppin' in prime form. With a chiming introduction, "Give Love on Christmas Day" is an uplifting jingle showcasing Glenn Leonard's unwavering falsetto on lead. "Everything for Christmas" has mellifluous background vocals, with string and ...
| | Slayer World Painted Blood CD (2009)
Misty Rowe songs
$10.39 Of the "big four" original thrash bands (the other three being Metallica, Anthrax, and Megadeth), Slayer was the least compromising and most consistent. As such, 2009's WORLD PAINTED BLOOD recalled more than the title of Slayer's 1986 masterpiece REIGN IN BLOOD; it shared the earlier album's ferocious aggression and trademark speed metal-meets-hardcore sound. Throughout, the sound is lean and mean, with bassist/vocalist Tom Araya's vocals mixed relatively dry and upfront, giving the album a bracing, fist-to-the-face force. Jackhammer tracks such as "Hate Worldwide" and "Psychopathy Red" are short, no muss-no fuss blasts of double kick drum, minor key-riffing fury, with an ...

| | Liars It Fit When I Was A Kid CD (2005)
Misty Rowe album
$7.09 Fans eager for the release of Liars' third full-length release, Drum's Not Dead, can be temporarily sated by this EP featuring the first single from that album (not to mention the faux-controversial cover art). "It Fit When I Was a Kid" tells an absurd fable-like tale about chairs in outer space, mankind's protective battleship, and existential ennui accompanied by somber keys, tribal drums, and hymn-like vocals (the most "sung" vocals Liars have ever attempted). "The Frozen Glacier of Mastodon Blood" is the best song Sonic Youth never wrote (from their pre-Daydream ...
