Having now made the transition into a full-blooded band that rocks, Lennox and Stewart could do no wrong and must be seen as one of the musical highlights of the 80s. To maintain such a high standard through six albums in four years takes some doing, yet here they go again, each time growing musically and adding that little extra, for example, the meaty harmonica opening on "Missionary Man," the harder drum sound on all tracks, and finally Stewart back to playing lots of guitar and sounding as though he is having fun. Hypnotic bouncy music that never threatens.

Uncut (p.124) - 4 stars out of 5 - "[T]heir best album...[it] teems with near-perfect FM anthems like 'Thorn In My Side' and 'The Last Time'." Revenge Music Review Average Rating: (5 out of 5 stars) Phenomenal In 1986, the Eurythmics released their 6th album (counting the soundtrack '1984' which was made up of primarily Eurythmic's tracks) appropriately titled 'Revenge', and THAT they accomplished! This was a HUGE album in the UK and also made it to #12 in the U.S. in the top 100. It features 4 hit singles ("Missionary Man", "Thorn In My Side", "When Tomorrow Comes" & "The Miracle Of Love"), as well as steller tracks such as "The Last Time", "I Remember You", "A Little Of You" & "In This Town". Other highlights are the album's bonus tracks! There's a beautiful live acoustic version of "When Tomorrow Comes"-not available on any other release. This version is flawless and beautiful! Annie always sounds amazing live, but this version really showcases her talents. The other bonus tracks are great too, there's even a remake of an early song from their first album! This is a must-have for any Eurythmics fan, and also a great place to start for a casual fan. You won't be disappointed, I promise. Submitted by Samm (Lafayette, IN USA) Was This Review Helpful? $20.29 The Automatics are best known for their Punk/Powerpop standard 'When the tanks roll over Poland again', (released on Island Records in 1978) which became one of the first Number Ones in the newly introduced Punk/New Wave charts . An album entitled 'Walking with the radio on' was recorded at the same time under the guidance of upcoming producer Steve Lillywhite, but shelved by Island Records as they focused their attention and producer on an upcoming outfit calling themselves 'U2'. The band disbanded shortly after. Drummer Ricky 'Rocket' Goldstein left to join Sham 69 and played on Sham`s later hits. Guitarist Wally Hacon went off to work with Wreckless Eric, for whom he wrote the single 'Broken Doll' (later covered by Sir Cliff Richard), whilst Bobby Collins had a spell as bass player in Holly and The Italians. The 'Walking with the radio on' album was eventually given a release in Japan in 2000 by Base Records, and a UK release in 2003 by Angel Air Records. With renewed vigour, lead vocalist and songwriter Dave Philp re-assembled The Automatics in 2000 and recorded the Automatics "2" album with top L.A. producer Jim Wirt. "2" was released in Japan by Base Records in 2001 and promoted by a series of Japanese dates. Another album of "Rarities" from their early ...

$17.69 Charles Ramsey released his first album, Something New, in 2005. Recorded in Philadelphia, the album's nine songs were acclaimed by the Centre Daily Times as "incredibly likable…immediately finding a niche deep inside your brain", and by New York City-based writer, Jason Mulgrew, as "excellent…sentimental without being schmaltzy; catchy without being kitchy." The album features Charles Ramsey on vocals, guitar, piano, and trombone, along with Jake Munch on drums ...
