Not to be confused with the New York band who recorded for ESP-Disk, this Octopus is a British psych-pop band of the late 1960s, two members of which (bassist Nigel Griggs and drummer Malcolm Green) later moved to Australia to join Split Enz; 1969's RESTLESS NIGHT was their sole album, featuring the singles "The River" and "Thief."

It's no secret that Sting is a serious man, so it's only logical that his holiday album -- his first new music since the Police reunion, not that it really matters -- is a serious endeavor, thank you. September 18, 1983 is a day that will go down in Kisstory. It was then that Paul Stanley, Gene Simmons, and replacement members Vinnie Vincent and Eric Carr took off their signature makeup and revealed themselves on MTV. LICK IT UP was released, and a new chapter unfolded.
