Digitally remastered edition of the second Pat Travers album, which is regarded by many of his fans as the best of the man's early albums. It's a harder rocking release than his debut album, featuring the thunderous title track and the classic "Rock N Roll Susie" as well as the blistering "Statesboro Blues". The album is also memorable for the apperance of Nicko McBrain on drums alongside long time bassist 'Mars' Cowling. The album's highlight is perhaps Travers heartfelt message to his own brother "Stevie". Hide Description Pat Travers Makin' Magic Songs | 1. | Makin' Magic |

| Makin' Magic Music Review Average Rating: (2 out of 5 stars) Don't be fooled by "Remastered"!!! This is far away from a "remastered" CD: All songs here come from very scratchy vinyl! No remastering, no noise correction - nothing. Very poor record. Had this CD in another release, also from scratchy vinyl, but not as poor as this one here! Save you money - don't buy this!!! Stick To Vinyl I ordered this cd and I was Extremely disappointed!!!! I listened to it once, and I won't put it back into my cd player. This cd has been "remastered" from a vinyl source. It has the clicks and pops still intact. Purchase at your discretion Submitted by Bill (Chicago, IL) Was This Review Helpful? Yes No 2 of 2 found this helpful.
Horrible Sound!!!! Dont Buy this... this is not remastered in a real sense of the word, it is not even worth listening too, WASTE OF MONEY(just take 20.00 and throw it out the window instead!!!!!!!!!! Submitted by Ron (L.A. CA) Was This Review Helpful? Yes No 2 of 2 found this helpful.
Terrible!!! I love Pat Travers early work but it is sad when the remastering is so bad you can't even listen to it snap crakle pop this is worse sounding than my vinyl copy don't buy this save your money!!! Submitted by Thomas (Plymouth Mi) Was This Review Helpful? Yes No 2 of 2 found this helpful.
Excellent CD! I'm so glad that they're re-releasing these early Pat Ttravers cds! The first finally gives you the studio version of "Boom Boom" and this one has a blistering version of Statesboro Blues. The re-mastering significantly improves on the sound quality and Travers really cooks on the guitar, something which his most recent releases lack. Well worth the money! Makin' Magic album
$13.15 Recorded live at The Amphitheatre, Chicago, Illinois; The Gardens, Louisville, Kentucky and in Youngstown, Ohio. Includes liner notes by Jon Sutherland.
One of the premier live rock albums of the '70s, STRANGERS features a band at its peak performing all its hits and fan favorites. The album was recorded during two nights in Ohio in 1978, when the band opened for Blue Oyster Cult. This reissue features remastered sound, extended liner notes, and the correct track sequencing.
The album's two bonus tracks, "Hot 'N' Ready" and "Cherry," get the album started in supreme hard-rock fashion. "Out in the Street" shows why Phil Mogg is overlooked as one of the premier hard-rock vocalists of his era, while "Only You Can Rock Me" features the guitar prowess of Michael Schenker. "Doctor Doctor" is probably the band's most well-known song, and this live version is more powerful than the studio original. The same can be said of "Lights Out," the title track of the band's most successful album. The band comes together and kicks it hard on the thunderous "Rock ...

$15.19 The origin of the SKULL and BONE BAND name:A native American medicine man from the Seminole Tribe w/ mixed blood from Ex- African American slaves gave us our name. He said that the two cultures had both been treated as an inferior species. Many supposed Freed African American slaves ended up in New Orleans after the Emancipation Proclamation of 1863 (and because of relocation schemes before and after of the Civil War) along with members of the Seminole Tribe. They banded together in order to protect themselves from harm. The result was a new blending of African and Native American traditions. And each year for the Mardi Gras festival, they would put on their Native costumes and join together in a procession to celebrate the circle of life and death. In each of the two cultures, they had a common understanding about life and death. Neither believed in atheism or monotheism. They supported an idea of animism, whereby all of nature is alive, all of nature has a soul, and they are a part of nature’s soul, no greater or worse, but an integral part of the whole. In the beginning they weren’t allowed to participate in the Mardi Gras celebration. So they invented their own. They chose the skull and bone to represent their communion with the spirits. The Skull and Bone krewe consisted mostly of mixed African American and Native American blood. The medicine man explained to us that the skull represents mortality. It is our future face. One day we will come face to face with death. We should understand this principle and take it seriously. He said the bone represents fertility. It is life and it is full of energy. This is the playful and joyful realm of the living. It is a time to sing and dance. And then he said that the two taken together represent the circle of existence. He had no doubt that life is eternal. There is a ...
