Purchase Electro Rock CD To buy, Click on price to add to cart | Mariah Carey Merry Christmas CD (1994)
Electro Rock album
$8.75 At this stage of her career Mariah Carey does not need to prove herself, but her voice is so powerful that with each new recording she, once again, reminds you: "Listen to what I can do." Vocal gymnastics and Christmas songs are not often thought of as a compatible combination, but on MERRY CHRISTMAS Mariah jumps, climbs, crawls, twirls and dashes her way through both traditional fare and original Christmas songs.
She shifts through styles, offering fans from all musical camps a gift of their own. Her "Silent Night" shows off a studied vocalization where liquid phrasing is key. "Miss You Most (At Christmas Time)" shows off a dynamic voice that is hard to match. She has fun with the Phil Spector ...
| | Boyz II Men Christmas Interpretations CD (1993) Remastered
Electro Rock CD music
$7.85 This is part of "20th Century Masters: The Millenium Collection" series.
Indeed, it is the most wonderful time of the year, and this reissue of 1993's Christmas Interpretations arrives under the Universal 20th Century Masters series, which has launched its own subset of holiday releases. Produced by fellow soulful crooner Brian McKnight, this ten-song workout is not a collection of holiday favorites (aside from the traditional "Silent Night" that opens and closes the recording), but a series of brand new holiday compositions based on the quiet storm market. The Boyz are in fine form, as per usual, and the ...
| | Rihanna Rated R CD (2009)
Electro Rock music CDs
$14.64 "Russian Roulette," released weeks prior to Rated R, just hinted at Rihanna's sudden desire to provoke. Even with the realization that it is metaphorical, the song startles with its hesitant gasps, spinning cylinders, and verses that are glacially paced, where a cold piano line and the slight inflections in Rihanna's voice are front and center. And then there's an audible shudder followed by a discharged bullet -- the abrupt end to one of Rated R's most restrained moments. It's not the only instance where Rihanna's rise in fame, combined with being the victim in the decade's highest-profile felonious assault, added up to a perfect-storm scenario for a creative overhaul. Rated R is more like Good Girl Gone Evil, or Abused Girl Full of Vengeful ...

| | Elements Aka UM Hip Hop Club Compound: When The Elements Combine CD (2001)
Electro Rock music CDs
$6.69 The University of Miami Hip Hop Club, which also goes by the name "The Elements," has released its compilation CD, "The Compound: When the Elements Combine. " The club has been announcing its presence more and more here on campus and their efforts have culminated with this album. There is no denying the talent of this group of young rhymers, each with their own hip hop alias, who are reminiscent of such skillful underground hip-hop groups like Jurassic 5 or Hieroglyphics. There is impressive and often strong production by group members Lenny "White Russian" Kagan, Adam "IL-Literate" Delanoy, and Sanga "From Uganda" Collins, on such songs as "Execution Style" and "Intravenous." The members are extremely savvy of what's going on in society and even around here on campus, rapping about a wide array of topics ranging from their skills and personal style to the importance of the college education to pop culture. It's even strangely exciting to hear references to Coral Gables and campus security. Skill and knowledge of pop culture is regarded on the catchy "Execution Style," when the recognizable Dark Skinned Marksman rhymes that "I bust a flow hard asGladiator's, I'm the lyrical Maximus." As with most mainstream rap albums today, which are populated with references tosex, violence, alcohol and drugs, and bragging about a rich lifestyle, these themes are touched upon as well, but the group does not really dwell on them in excess or support them like the majority of famous rappers out there. Instead, they stressoriginality in their lives and rhymes, over that kind of "bling-bling" lifestyle. "Save it for the brand new Benz, I ain't fallin for no trends. Got some brand new ice, well it ...
| | Nate Clendenen Old Soul CD (2005)
Electro Rock songs
$18.99 Nate Clendenen is a singer/songwriter/performer born in Philadelphia, PA. He currently resides in Virginia at the foothills of the Blue Ridge Mountains.Clendenen's influences are widely eclectic - from Reggae and world music to Appalachian folk - from 60's psychedelia to new age industrial. He seeks to put words to the random moments in life that one will always remember - to record his thoughts as a soundtrack of his life - to find those tiny things that often go unnoticed. This is the stuff of great art - the melody of meaningful music. Currently Nate is performing with banjo virtuoso, Robert Mabe who hails from the hills of North Carolina. Robert has toured and recorded with David Via and Larry Keel. In addition, he's also performed with Johnny Cash, Leftover Salmon and the String Cheese Incident to name a few. Their music together is completely original - contemporary yet traditional - progressive yet classic. When they are joined by the full band, drummer/percussionist Curtis Krams and bassist John Nichols ...
