Atmosphere are a two-man group made up of MCs Slug and Spawn. There are a few pieces of filler on Overcast!, but it does have its share of good songs too, such as "1597," "Sound Is Vibration," "Scapegoat" and "Cuando Limpia El Humo." "Sound Is Vibration" has a heavenly feel due to the harp used in the beat, and Slug and Spawn bring a lot of energy to the song. "Scapegoat" is a creative song done by Slug, in which he talks about all the excuses people use for their mistakes without considering their own faults. The only guest on the album is Beyond, who appears on "Current Status" and "Adjust." All songs are produced by Ant. ~ Dan Gizzi Atmosphere Overcast! Songs Overcast! classic any fan of hip hop, especially atmosphere should check out this album. even though it's their first cd, slug, musab and spawn already have well-developed styles and flows. My personal favorite of atmosphere. The highlights are 1597, @, multiples, scapegoat, and the hidden track, trailer park chicken, but listen through the whole thing please. Overcast! album
$9.75 Words to describe this work would be: surprising, analytical, darkness, mystery, lyricism, and jealous. Jealous because it's likely that every person who has ever tried to rap would wish he could rhyme like this guy, and every poet would wish to dream with such imagery. If you're into bootyshakin' and dancing, and that's the reason you listen to hip-hop, do not buy this album. But if you like hip-hop for rhymes that make you think, this guy just ...
| | Atmosphere Seven's Travels CD (2003)
Overcast! CD music
$10.45 This Minneapolis duo had spent about a decade at the center of the insular Twin Cities hip-hop scene before their national emergence with 2002's GOD LOVES UGLY, an idiosyncratic slice of state-of-the-art conscious rap. SEVEN'S TRAVELS, their fourth full-length release, is both a logical next step and a quantum leap forward.
Ant's painterly soundscapes conjure the glory years of Daisy Age hip-hop, and frontman Slug makes up for what ...
| | Brother Ali Shadows On The Sun CD (2004)
Overcast! music CDs
$11.59 "We don't have bar mitzvahs," raps Brother Ali on "Room With a View," "we become men the first time our father hits us." There's a lot of anger and pain behind the sophomore (and first CD) release by the self-described "urban Norman Rockwell," but Brother Ali chooses not to wallow in self-pity. Instead, his carefully observed lyrics draw on his Muslim faith and his personal experiences, including the self-esteem issues he has faced as a heavy-set albino, to convey a positive message of transcending rage ...

$15.05 one of the best under-rated soul artists & singer/songwriters of the 70's, he recorded for SSS, Chess, Atlantic & Polydor, and has had his songs covered by Whitney Houston, Aretha Franklin, George Benson+, 24 tracks of previously unreleased material
Prior to Sam Dees writing hit songs for Atlantic Starr, Larry Graham ("One in a Million You"), Whitney Houston, Gladys Knight & the Pips, and others, he toiled first in a group, then solo, recording on many southern labels during the '60s and '70s. He never had any significant ...
