Memphis, Tennessee's thuggish rappers, Three 6 Mafia, made a name for themselves rhyming about life on the streets of the South. Following in the tradition of rappers who have turned their creative visions to filmmaking (including Master P and Dre. Dre), the hip-hop group brings these issues to the big screen. As the follow-up to their popular debut feature, CHOICES II- THE SETUP tells the story of two street hustlers who must make a decision that will forever alter the course of their lives. Filmed in the group's hometown of Memphis, the film stars Three 6 Mafia, Tiny, Bishop Don Juan, and Lil Wayne. When DJ Paul and Juicy get locked up after a botched robbery, they find themselves facing an impossible choice between freedom in exchange for doing a favor for two corrupt officers, and a life in the slammer. The soundtrack to the film, which contains 16 songs (featuring Trillville, Young Bloods, D-Rock, and Lil Wyte), is also included here.

After releasing two traditional country blues albums in 1978 and 1980 and a more experimental and pop-oriented album in 1989, Louisiana-born singer/songwriter Lucinda Williams regrouped following the dissolution of the label to which she had been signed and released 1992's stunning SWEET OLD WORLD. While Williams' country blues roots are in evidence throughout the album, the folk and pop tendencies of its self-titled predecessor take over, making SWEET OLD WORLD a rootsy but accessible album perfect for the then-emergent Adult Album Alternative demographic.
Williams' songs range from the jangling folk rock of "Six Blocks Away" to the tender, downcast "Something About What Happens When We Talk." In 1992, at the young age of 24, McLachlan had a very real command of the pop idiom, and her songwriting was not only mature, it was rare and exceptional. The gothic vocal piece "Mercy" and the atmospheric "Home" are quite evocative. However, the highlight of SOLACE is the poignant "I Will Not Forget You." On this track, a wash of guitars and subtle piano chords are supported by rich percussive textures (which clearly recall Peter Gabriel's seminal records). The final song on the album, "Wear Your Love Like Heaven" arrives on the heels of several dense, brooding tunes, and this radiant Donovan cover ends SOLACE on an upbeat note.
