God's Army hails from Detroit, Michigan - the birthplace of some of the most cutting edge Gospel Families in the industry such as The Winans, Fred Hammond & R.F.C., Commissioned, The Clark Sisters, and Deitrick & Damita Haddon. God's Army now joins these ranks as they continue the time- honored tradition of pushing the gospel envelope to the next level.God's Army uses cutting edge lyrics and off the chart musical compositions to confront some of societies most controversial issues by bringing a biblical stance to the table. As a result of growing up in a city with such a rich musical culture, G.A.'s members have a personal understanding on how important it is to have strong positive role models. Likewise, they realize that their younger audiences consider them to be such role models. With this in mind, they create musical arrangements that they know will encourage hearts and inspire the minds of young people.God's Army has been under the development and direction of its founding member, Minister Liyongo Tolin, since 1997. Their musical style embraces HipHop, R & B, Jazz, Heavy Metal, Reggae and yes - even Funk! By combining these various musical styles, they have created their own unique sound most commonly referred to as R & G (Rhythm and Gospel). During their travels they have wowed audiences with their high power performances filled with singing, rapping, dancing and drama presentations. These travels have taken them around the country and abroad. With many television and radio appearances, print media, interviews and written articles to their credit, God's Army is fast becoming one of the most sought after and listened to groups in the industry.

| | Chris Tomlin Arriving CD (2004) Enhanced CD
Mission Not Impossible
$15.05 In the wake of the mainstream commercial acceptance of P.O.D. and Jars of Clay, the early 2000s saw a surge of Christian artists exploring a myriad of rock styles paired with less overtly religious lyrics. On 2004's ARRIVING, however, Chris Tomlin sticks to the traditional CCM mold, offering up an album of modern, radio-ready pop that unabashedly and explicitly praises Jesus. Tomlin's take is often that of a wide-eyed innocent who is continually amazed by the scope and wisdom of the Lord's vision. His words of joy are matched with mostly up-tempo, relentlessly catchy tunes, delivered ...

Mission Not Impossible
$14.95 Christian rock music's detractors often cite the eternally sunny, feel-good "I'm okay, you're okay" attitude of many CCM albums as a quality antithetical to real rock & roll. While Casting Crowns certainly offer their fair share of optimistic praise, the group also takes a page from the original 1960's San Francisco Jesus Freak movement's aggressively ...

Even though David Crowder is ostensibly a Christian rock artist, he's first and foremost a contemporary singer-songwriter. Accordingly, one doesn't even begin to disseminate the spiritual content of his lyrics until after fully experiencing his sonic blueprint. With help from his apparently close-knit band, he's fashioned a sound that's not far from that of David Gray. Folk-rock acoustic guitars and soulfully emotive vocals ...
