Rycodisc Blows It
Why bother putting out the disc again if your not going to improve the sound. Sure it is a great album but it has always been the worst in terms of sound and the mastering job in the Nine Inch Nails canon. I understand not wanting to add a bunch of extra tracks but don't bother putting something out that sound even worse the orginal TVT version of the album. In side by side comparsion it is not as good so save the money if you already own and don't make the same mistake I did. If you don't own it already, do buy it though Nine Inch Nails have changed a lot over the years it is well worth hear this first steps. The album also contains some of the Trents best singles. Though it lacks the scope of latter albums, you can't beat songs like Head Like a Hole and Down In It (though it is a blantant steal of Skinny Puppys Dig It) for a good musical rush.

THIS ALBUM SHOULD HAVE BEEN A SOUNDTRACK TO A MOVIE!
this album is so good that it should be a soundtrack to a movie. songs like terrible lie have this aggressive atmosphere to them, ringfinger and down in it are also good. But the best song on the album is head like a hole! i recommend this album to anyone

As Good As It Gets: NIN Style
Pretty Hate Machine (1989) is one of the best NIN records ever. The album quickly explodes begining with "god money", then moving on to songs with a little more bass like "Down in it" and "Kinda I Want To". The perfection in their music is brought out with the 7th track "Sin", as the many sounds and beats come together in this awesome song. And who could leave out the powerful vocals by Trent Reznor. Slightly techno, a lot hard core, definately Nine Inch Nails.

Revolutionary
This blows my mind literally when I put and played the CD in my player. Jesus Christ! This puppy is hands down. No doubt about that! It's very new wave-y and dated on this CD but compare it to With Teeth that came out. This was underground whereas With Teeth? It's more produced for the mainstream. He collaborates a multitude here. But I can tell he's a perfectionist to the bone if you listen this and With Teeth altogether.
The man should've keep his straps together after releasing this cult classic. Stop drinking, Trent Reznor! I see you!
