Elton Motello, the metrosexual pop sensation behind "Jet Boy Jet Girl" releases his album JET BOY with 20 catchy songs.
Elton Motello is best known for his obnoxious cover of Plastic Bertrand's "Ca plane Pour Moi", entitled "Jet Boy Jet Girl" - hence the name of the compilation. The single coupled smarmy lyrics with Bertrand's backing track, somehow illustrating the mad style of this Englishman who had worked in Belgian studios. Elton Motello then "escaped (...) juvenility and became a half-baked quirky pop-rocker" (Ira Robbins).
The "Jet Boy Jet Girl" compilation gathers the best titles of Motello's two albums ("Victim of time" and "Pop Art"), mixing genuine band effort along with worthy singles. Consequently, a peculiar ode to a drunken father ('He's a rebel') lies on the verge of a stunning version of 'Pipeline', and synth-pop longing for a weird mood flirts with punk-rock a la Ramones.
Elton Motello certainly boasts, but he most likely boasts to entertain.

A Combination Of Several Of Motello's L.P.'s On 1 Cd! Known mostly for his sexually explicit "english" version of the French punk hit "Ca Plane Pour Moi" (by French artist Plastic Bertrand) called "Jet Boy, Jet Girl", and by far Motello's best song ever, this disc appropriately named "Jet Boy" is basically a collection of his only two albums (with a few deletions naturally) "Victim Of Time" (originally released on Attic Records-Canada) and "Pop Art" (originally released on Passport Records-USA). While there are some cool songs here such as the above mentioned "Jet Boy, Jet Girl", there's "Pogo Pogo" (named after a punk dance) as well as "In The Heart Of The City" (from his "Pop Art L.P.) but the remaining tracks are average at best. Also check out "Hardest Hits Volume 5" on SPG Records Canada which also includes the seven minute "club version" of "Jet Boy, Jet Girl" at a more reasonable price than this way over priced European disc.
