| | Christina Milian It's About Time CD Christina Milian Discography of CDs
(25 Customer Reviews)
Cuban-born pop chanteuse Christina Milian got her start as an actress on TV sitcoms, but from the beginning of her second record, IT'S ABOUT TIME, she makes it clear that, like other teen sensations, she's not that innocent. Opening track "Dip ... Full DescriptionIt Low" features a frenetic, sensual dance-floor beat with just a hint of Asian flavor, as Milian counts off numerous ways for women to drive their men crazy.
The record continues with the atmosphere of a raging party, with rappers Fabolous and Joe Budden dropping by to lay down rhymes (Budden has some particularly mighty moments on "L.O.V.E."). Milian's vocals possess enough imperious swagger to pull off the upbeat dance numbers, but also the requisite coy desire to spice up the slow jams (ballads "Miss You Like Crazy"--not a cover of the Natalie Cole song--and the enthrallingly luscious "Highway"). Milian's music struts with a power belying the singer's age, making the funky IT'S ABOUT TIME an entertaining record from start to finish.
Personnel include: Christina Milian (vocals); Fabolous, Joe Budden (rap vocals); Baby Dubb (various instruments, programming); Bryan Michael Cox (various instruments); Stereo (keyboards, programming).
Recording information: Studio Atlantis, Hollywood, California; Murlyn, Stockholm, Sweden; B-Rad, Hollywood, California; East Side Sound, New York, NY; Majestic, Hollywood, California.

It's About Time album
$6.39 Most of the songs on SUPERSEXY SWINGIN' SOUNDS are the same songs that first appeared on ASTRO-CREEP 2000, remixed by Charlie Clouser, John Fryer, The Dust Brothers, Mike "Hitman" Wilson, P.M. Dawn and The Damage Twins.

These remixes of songs from ASTRO-CREEP: 2000 lend a new, ultra-cool ambience to White Zombie's hard-hitting trash-pop songs. Among those doing the remixing are the Dust Brothers and P.M. Dawn. Their remixes give some of these songs ...
| | Nelly Da Derrty Versions: The Reinvention CD (2003)
It's About Time CD music
$12.65 While remix albums of all shades were in vogue during 2003, Nelly truly seems to be having fun on DA DERRTY VERSIONS, his addition to the genre. This release is unique in that the remixes are generally by the original producer. Also, the title is a bit of a misnomer, as it implies more stripped-down or crunked-out versions, which are not really what this record is about. However, that's not a bad thing; DA DERRTY VERSIONS is a consistently entertaining record featuring many clever twists, unforgettable guest shots, and one ultra-catchy, all-new track "Iz U."
By far, the most ear-catching moment is the peculiarly inspired reworking of the smash "Ride wit Me" which begins a cappella before a jangly guitar kicks in and reimagines the rap to the tune of John Mayer's "No Such Thing." Nelly's first hit, "Country Grammar," is redone more traditionally as E-40 drops by to add some new verses to complement the slightly tweaked familiar chorus. Hits like the St. Lunatics "Batter Up" and the summer jam "Hot in Herre" are given small but welcome alterations and remain as engaging as ever. The whole album is threaded together by the affable Nelly as the interviewee/tour guide, offering insight into the making of the record itself.

| | Ciara Goodies CD (2004)
It's About Time music CDs
$9.59 As a rare female voice in the world of crunk, Ciara is in the unique position to offer a counterpoint to the multitude of hits like Lil Jon's "Get Low" and Petey Pablo's "Freek-a-Leek," which feature men going into clubs and calling out any attractive female. On Ciara's breakout single, "Goodies," the singer coos sultrily--but forcefully--about her independence and how she refuses to be treated like an object, even enlisting the aforementioned Lil Jon and Pablo help out, producing and guest rapping, respectively. It's no wonder "Goodies" was a 2004 summer smash, with its singularly disarming combination of an empowering message backed by an intoxicatingly sexy beat.
Ciara's debut record takes its name and direction from the aforementioned hit, backing up her outstanding single with a slew of aggressive, seductive dance-floor hits cut by sweet ballads (a la Beyonce), as the vocalist asserts both her self-dominion and her natural vulnerability. It certainly doesn't hurt to have a friend in Jazze ...
| | Kid Rock Live Trucker CD (2006)
It's About Time songs
$10.65 The sticker on Kid Rock's 2006 LIVE TRUCKER CD warns that the disc includes no bonus tracks, exclusive footage, or remixes, so fans of the Kid that are hungry for new and unreleased material might be disappointed. Yet with the help of his Twisted Brown Trucker Band and a wildly enthusiastic crowd, the Kid lays down his particular brand ...
| | Harry Potter And The Goblet Of Fire: Deluxe Edition DVDs (2005)
It's About Time album
$23.15 Adults who may have been turned off by the more kid-friendly elements of the first two Potter films should sit up and cheer; this fourth installment of Harry's adventures at the magic school of Hogwarts is more mature and darker than its immediate predecessor. This year, Hogwarts is hosting the Tri Wizard festival, and there may be a plot afoot to off Potter (Daniel Radcliffe) during the proceedings. Hermione (Emma Watson) finds a man worthy of her in competing Russian Quidditch champion Viktor Krum (Stanislav Ivaneski), to the chagrin of Ron Weaselly (Rupert Grint) who, though growing into a fine, shaggy orange-haired figure of a lad, is still not quite mature enough to ask Hermione to the Yule ball. Krum's teacher may be involved in the dastardly get-Harry plot, which involves writhing snake tattoos, skull clouds, death-eaters, tournaments with live dragons, a submersible schooner, and a competing school of poised and beautiful girls run by Maxime (Frances de la Tour), who shares a romantic past with gamekeeper Hagrid (Robbie Coltrane). All the other favorites of the series are back as well, including Alan Rickman, ...
| | Essential Michael Jackson CDs (2005)
It's About Time CD music
$16.95 The title might sound like hyperbole, but this two-disc collection is, in fact, a pretty fair summation of Michael Jackson's career up to 2005. Of course, it's impossible for two discs to hold every hit single Michael Jackson has ever had, but THE ESSENTIAL MICHAEL JACKSON starts with the Jackson Five's debut single, "I Want You Back," and ends 38 tracks later with the 2001 comeback attempt "You Rock My World." In between is a chronological overview of some of the most significant pop music in the last three decades of the 20th century, climaxing with about two-thirds of THRILLER ...
