Dido Brown was born and raised in Southeast San Diego. When he wasn't committing crimes, he was making his moves locally as an independent artist in San Diego. He sold thousands of cd's out the trunk of his car. He has sold apporximately 40,000 cd's in 2005 by applying all the drive and hustle from his former lifestyle, which now attribute to his growing notoriety in the world of Hip-Hop. His latest album, Bonafide, is scheduled for release in stores Sept 20th. This is his first CD to actually hit stores. Bonafide features bigs names such as Snoop Dogg and Kokane whom appears on various tracks. Many of the beats were done by D-Black ("Wobble, Wobble" for 504 Boyz, Barbershop and Hustle and Flow). Also featured is his camp and other local upcoming talents: Lil Al, Young Ruly, Lil-Man and G-No. Look for Dido Brown's video on BET Uncut very soon! Currently Dido Brown is getting played on major Cali radio stations such as Z90 (San Diego), Power 106 (Los Angeles) and 96.1 (I.E.). By 2007 Berlin native Ellen Allien was one of the more prominent movers and shakers on the international electronica scene. Splitting her time between recordings, DJ-ing, and running a label and party headquarters called BPitch Control, Allien was an endless fountain of energy and creative ideas. FABRIC 34 (2007) provides further evidence of Allien's mastery of mixing and production. A straightforward dance album that is also layered and evocative, FABRIC 34 features a mix of some of Allien's own personal favorite electronica tracks from the preceding year, including two cuts from her BPitch label.
'Fabric 33' is a warm, deep escape into the mind of the Berliner Ellen Allien, techno innovator and imaginative creator of the label BPitch Control. Ellen's music is typically indescribable; though aimed at the dancefloor, she mingles glitchy breakbeats with elegant poppy vocals and elements of the experimental underground. With twitches of electro and deep techno basslines, she's given this mix it's own genre nom de plume -"elechtech".
