On Fire Holloween 2011
Classic. Just recieved the disc today and my friend Sue asked me to put it on.Sounds better than it ever did on LP. 35 years since I listened to this as a teenager. Great songs.Great move by Deep Purple.I'm sure the Beastie Boyz rocked to this. Thank you to CD Universe and reviewers that guided me to this recording. Plus it's Holloween. The Cover Art is also a Classic. Buy at least 2 copy's now!

One of their Best
I thought this was great back in the day, and I think they've kindof come back to it, at least in bringing back a bit of the funk. I still love the Coverdale/Hughes harmonies. MH is still my all-time fave and the reissue of that one is one of the best sounding works, ever, but this one's very good. May God Bless Roger Glover!

Not a perfect remaster, but a long time coming
All the Deep Purple remasters are worth getting. There was some doubt whether this one would get out the door, first because Roger Glover, who produced all the Mk.II remasters, chose not to get involved with Mk.III music, then because the master tapes took a long time to find, and finally because the release was postponed multiple times. I wish they could have gone two discs like "Machine Head"'s remaster, because the remixes are the best tracks on here. The remasters themselves are not as awe-inspiring as I expected, but perhaps that has to be blamed on the state of recording in 1973 (but somehow I doubt it). This remains a highlight of Deep Purple's career, and the remix of "Coronarias Redig" is almost worth the price of the album alone - nice job!

Scorching Remaster!
I never thought Burn would be remastered but I got it in my hands yesterday and haven't been able to stop playing it. The sound is so crisp and clear unlike my original CD where it always sounded muddy. The remixes must have been done with the idea to make Ritchie Blackmore's guitar sound hotter and it works! Great bonus photos and liner notes as well. I can't wait for the remasters of Stormbringer and Come Taste The Band to complete the sonic digital overhaul of Deep Purple's 70's album cannon. Also once again CDUniverse.com delivers. I had this CD within 2 days of ordering it!
