I recall banging on pots and pans and coffee cans as a two-year-old listening to this music! All that has survived of Dad's original mono LP was the cover. So, I was glad to see this reissued and I bought it up right away. The sound is great, issued here in its original stereo, and seeming to have no added cheezy reverb or stereo gimmickry. What a fat and beautiful trumpet tone Tony Facciutto has!
So, I'm thoroughly enjoying the CD, when along comes "Leo's Special," Leo Acosta's drum feature. There are several points throughout his solo where the sound just disappears for a couple of seconds at a time. At first I thought maybe this was a defect in the CD. I love the CD and its production so much that I actually bought another copy just to see if maybe it wouldn't have the drop outs. But it does! I even bought a third copy but of an earlier OOP version. No drop outs on that one (but, as is typical of many CDs imported from the EU, it was drenched with added stereo reverb, this on top of the original RCA Living Prescence original reverb).
What's going on here??? How could they issue garbage like this??? I don't know... Maybe people think the drummer is leaving spaces in his solo; no one else is squawking about this. CD U, please look into this; crack open a copy and give "Leo's" a listen.
Another disappointment is that "Fireworks" was left off this compilation. I don't get it! It's only a 36 minute CD, for cryin' out loud. They could've at least made the CD complete and faithful to the original.

A proud native of Athens, GA, Adam Klein writes strongly crafted, literate, rustic, passion-filled, straight-from-the-heart â€Ĺ"country-folk” songs. Having come of age frequenting shows in the famed nightclubs of his hometown, Klein has been influenced and shaped by Athens’ thriving and diverse music scene. Distant Music, self-released in April 2006 on Cowboy Angel Music, is Klein’s first long-player, indeed his first release. Her hobbies include visiting psychosis self help forums and studying murder case files. She also writes with the help of Ouija board and is an obsessive compulsive people watcher. Her musical career started when her mom named her Yunyu (meaning beautiful rhythms) and auditioned her into a classical music nazi concentration camp when she was 3. Don't ask mom why. For this, Yunyu will always be torn between extreme thanks and torture. Like all misfits, she found the classical environment a little lacking in humour and vice versa, the music nazis found her to be lacking in discipline and talent. After countless, merciless tortures she finally tunneled to freedom with nothing but a very blunt, leadless, pencil at age 9. The trauma of the near death experience caused Yunyu to connect with Zombies and the Spirit world on a deep, personal level. Yunyu's weapon of choice is keyboards and pianoforte. Occasionally, when she clamours attention and variety, she plays the Gu Zheng -- An age old oriental instrument. Yunyu does not speak in tongues, but she can write in 2 languages (Mandarin and English) and speak in 5 - ( add a smattering of Japanese, Cantonese and Hokkien. )Yunyu won Australia's Triple J Unearthed. She is one of 3 winners out of 1500 entries. When Yunyu won the Unearthed radio competition she thought a gig referred to GIGABYTES. Upon learning the truth of gigs, Yunyu spent the first year puking back stage and performing. Yunyu pukes less now. Her song, "You are expendable" topped the Canadian college Charts for a month peaking at No.6.Lenore's Song is Yunyu's most requested song at gigs.
