Sting/Annie Lennox.Mary J.Blig Rufus Wainwright/Dido/Jamie Cu In becoming a romantic-comedy fixture, Helen Fielding's Bridget Jones character has not only inspired a pair of well-received films, but mixtape-worthy soundtracks that stand ... Full Descriptionon their own musical merits. An excellent combination of well-known artists and neophytes defines the BRIDGET JONES: THE EDGE OF REASON album. Mary J. Blige delivers an incredibly heartfelt rendition of Elton John's "Sorry Seems to Be the Hardest Word" (complete with orchestral accompaniment), Will Young slips into Sade's soulful "Your Love Is King," and Joss Stone grooves on the sassy R&B nugget "Super Duper Love (Are You Diggin' on Me?)." Other interesting juxtapositions range from glam-metal anthems ("I Believe in a Thing Called Love" by the Darkness) and soft-rock classics (Carly Simon's "Nobody Does It Better") to modern-day dance anthems (Beyonce and Jay-Z's "Crazy in Love") and adult-contemporary pop (Jamie Cullum's cover of "Everlasting Love"). Composer Harry Gregson-Williams's rich and poignant "Bridget's Theme" puts a nice bow on this eclectic and engaging mix.

Bridget Jones: The Edge Of Reason Soundtrack album
$12.65 BRIDGET JONES' DIARY was nominated for the 2002 Grammy Award for Best Compilation Soundtrack Album For A Motion Picture, Television Or Other Visual Media.
Based on the popular book of the same name, the film BRIDGET JONES'S DIARY stars America's sweetheart Renee Zellweger as the winsomely cute but uproariously neurotic Bridget Jones. A single woman in her 30s, Jones must cope with all the internal angst that description implies. The film's soundtrack, which appropriately consists mostly of tunes by female artists, is something of a mirror to the character's ...

Bridget Jones: The Edge Of Reason Soundtrack CD music
$6.39 This audio document of The Corrs' Dublin homecoming concert has pretty much everything fans of Irish pop could wish for, including an appearance from Bono in his earthly incarnation, fresh from an audience with President George W. Bush. It's to the band's credit that the charismatic singer fails to steal the show, despite creditable efforts via an anthemized version of Ryan Adams' beautifully downtempo "When the Stars Go Blue," and a great, leering rendition of Lee Hazlewood and Nancy Sinatra's "Summer Wine."
Somewhat more mysteriously, Rolling Stone Ron Wood also turns up on what sounds dangerously close to a lounge version of Jimi Hendrix's "Little Wing," but this minor faux pas ...

Bridget Jones: The Edge Of Reason Soundtrack album
$12.15 Though he probably achieved his greatest mainstream recognition backing up Lou Reed on tour, idiosyncratic songbird Antony is a fully established artiste in his own right. Backed by the Johnsons, as on I AM A BIRD NOW, he crafts delicate ballads that skirt the lines between cabaret, artsong, and pop, with the kind of voice that Stephin Merritt would probably kill for. Antony's unique pipes bring to mind an androgynous ...
