Tate - On his own The greatest voice on the rock scene goes solo. The music is mellow with a beat. As the CD goes on it rocks pretty hard. Best songs: Helpless, Touch, Passenger, Off the TV and Grain of Faith. Don't miss this one its excellent. All types of music are represented on this disc. Get the CD, Stay Off The TV and see Geoff Tate of tour. You will not be sorry. This guy is Hard Rock !!! Submitted by a reviewer (Bethelehem PA USA) Was This Review Helpful? Maturely Great What it the purpose of a solo album? To make something different, of course. Geoff definitely hit it with his first solo album. His vocals are great as always and very suitable for the type of music on this album: soft rock with a pop edge. All in all, an excellent release. For fans of different types of music, not enclosed on the metal box. I am surprised after 'ryches 2 releases. So now I am very interested in listening to Tribe. He can do better Don't like his solo effort. I didn't care for the tone of the songs, rhythm, etc. Queensryche will always be my favorite though. Submitted by a reviewer (Palm Harbor, FL.) Was This Review Helpful? YesNo This review is for a different format.
If you like Sting... ..you'll probably like this. Once you get over the disappointment that this is not metal, nor even hard rock, you might appreciate some of the work. I probably would not purchase a second solo album Submitted by Mike (Saus, TX) Was This Review Helpful? YesNo This review is for a different format.
WHAT THE? Wow, What can I say about this album? If you are a metal head, do NOT buy this album. If you are a hard rock fan, and have enjoyed Queensryche's last couple of albums, do NOT buy this album. If you are interested in wasting $15+ dollars, and listening to the most boring elevater music that was ever produced then, well congrats, this is what you have been looking for. I never thought Geoff Tate, one of the most influential voices in metal, would try to rip off Cher like he does on track #3. Its a sad day, when someone who has been an influence to me vocally, denies where he came from, and turns his back on all of those who have put him where he is. Geoff if you don't like Metal, then quit Queensryche! Queensryche would be better off without your tired throat anyway. Submitted by a reviewer (Baltic, MI) Was This Review Helpful?
