This exclusive 2008 edition of The Dream features the beautiful cover art of Paul Foreman. 'Simply the most beautiful collection of songs from a local artist I have ever heard'Michael Beaumont, RADIO FM 99.3'Everytime I play a track from this album on the radio, I get callers;"What was that beautiful thing you played after the news..."James Valentine, ABC'fascinating, very beautiful.... it's amazing'Don Burrows The Dream is a musical and engaging album, characterised by its lyricism and emotional integrity... Elizabeth has really come into her own. From the opening tune, the gentle Until I’ve Show You Paris, she commands the listener with her poignant, yearning vocal style and tender piano playing. The arrangements are creative and texturally rich... Furthermore, there are some thoughtful, probing ideas and beautiful imagery contained in the lyrics. ..Same World, Different Eyes, for example, deals with the corruption of childhood naivety by the adult sense of futility and the love songs, like The Dream, avoid obvious clichés, exploring instead the complexities and contradictions involved in romantic affairs. This is a musically interesting and honest album, an impressive debut from a most promising singer/songwriter.- Jasmine Crittenden DRUM MEDIA 'Elizabeth stands apart from our other artists simply because of her incredible talent and diversity as a magnificent vocalist, pianist, trumpet and flugelhorn player and last but not least as a composer...' - Leslie Moore, AUSTRALIAN JAZZ AGENCYNew music with a twist.. sophisticated and sultry'BENT magazine'The melodies are infectious and the lyrics are intelligent .. poetic and thought provoking'HAWKESBURY INDEPENDANT "breathtaking"Mark Kennedy, breakfast FM 99.3 Dream Music | Category | Jazz Albums | | Label | elizabeth carthew | | Orig Year | 2004 | | CD Universe Part number | 6793577 | | Catalog number | 45657 | | Discs | 1 | | Release Date | Sep 28, 2004 | | Studio/Live | Studio | | Mono/Stereo | Stereo |

| | Genie Grant Love Me Like I Am CD (2002)
Dream music CDs
$18.99 The doyenne of Dallas jazz singers, Genie Grant has now racked up her third album for Dave Zoller's DPZ Jazz label. It is a tasty sandwich of standards and traditional pop, all placed within a musical wrapping provided by Zoller's fine piano jazz combo. The singer, entering her seventh decade, sings with verve, élan, and technical capabilities that a vocalist 40 years younger would be happy to possess. Whether singing "I'm Hip" by Kings of Hip Dave Frishberg and Bob Dorough, where she never lets the tricky rhythms of this anthem to the modern style get control of her, or a languid and melancholy version of "What'll I Do" with Mike Drake's brushes providing just the right touch in the background, she stays right on the mark. This would be a perfect vehicle for a 3 o'clock in the morning slow dance in an offbeat lounge somewhere. Grant has mastered the trick of using her players to her best advantage. Bass player Kerby Stewart kicks off "Learnin' the Blues," while Joe Lee's guitar has the lead on "I'll Remember April." Grant is one of those singers who will never enter that high atmosphere of great vocalists. But everything she does has taste, elegance, a sense of humor, and flair. Possessing a Peggy Lee-like light touch, her approach to each song she selects for her albums remains fresh and surpassingly jaunty. Not every CD needs to be "great," groundbreaking, seminal, etc., to be enjoyable. This one is enjoyable and recommended. ~ Dave Nathan

| | Bob Sirois Dreams Of Christmas CD (2006)
Dream album
$15.15 CD Reviews...\"Bob Sirois breathes freshness into traditional holiday classics with brilliant compilation and accompaniment. His own style - clearly a blend of classical/folk/country guitar playing - yields one of the season\'s best holiday treats. Makes a great, unique gift for all those hard to buy for and fits in a stocking quite well. If you enjoy any of the Windham Hill artists, you\'ll love this disc\" - Sinead Fennell, Port Laois, Ireland.\"I\'ve been following Bob Sirois\' career for awhile and I have to relate that I love all his music. I think his arrangements are fresh and unique. I also love the fact that each CD has it\'s own identity. Dreams of Christmas is awesome, warm, inviting and moody. He tends to include some songs that many other artists do not so it creates an interesting diversity. I have both of his Christmas records and sincerely hope he will create more. For anyone interested his website is [...]. I highly recommend this CD to one and all\" - ...
