Forever Luda For all of yall that hate on Luda, don't do it cause it doesn't look good on you.So what if all other rappers have a similar sound, don't expect Ludacris to sound the same.He is a very versatile and talented rapper with a creative touch that keeps making him number one. This album, along with his others, displays the gift that he has to offer to his fans.If you ask my opinion, this album is a must have for all people who appreciate good music! Red Light District album
$9.89 With TRAP MUZIK, Georgia rapper T.I. boldly established himself as a young rapper to watch and a sought-after guest artist. As if to cement his stardom, T.I. opens his third record, URBAN LEGEND, with one of the most famous declarations in the history of hip-hop, Run-DMC's "I'm the kiiiing," building the assured track ("Tha King") around a sleek "Hit It Run" sample. On that song, T.I. wanders around the rap iconography of the South, asserting himself the new leader and claiming that his ascendance came without the aid of major guest appearances on his previous album.
With URBAN LEGEND, however, the cast list is practically overwhelming (Trick Daddy, Lil' Kim, Lil Jon, Lil Wayne), but smartly, T.I. lets his own lyrical light shine until ...
| | Eminem Encore CDs (2002) Bonus CD
Red Light District CD music
$10.45 THE EMINEM SHOW was nominated for the 2003 Grammy Award for Album Of The
Year. "Without Me" was nominated for the 2003 Grammy Awards for Record Of The Year and Best Male Rap Solo Performance.
This deluxe limited edition includes a bonus DVD containing previously unreleased footage and interview with Eminem.
As one of the most controversial figures in hip-hop history, Eminem can be forgiven for being somewhat self-obsessed. THE EMINEM SHOW's opening cut "White America" sums up the notorious rapper's self-defense by keenly observing that while the color of his skin has something to do with his widespread popularity it's also the reason his lyrics are examined so scrupulously by critics who otherwise wouldn't bother. "I could be one of your kids" he proclaims, getting right to the heart of the matter. Despite the abundance of introspection, Eminem doesn't back up a single step on any of the themes that made him such a hot property. He's still into glorifying violence, as on "Soldier" one of the many cuts where he waves his broken-home/dysfunctional upbringing like a flag to justify the hatred that seeps from every pore of THE EMINEM SHOW.
Over the course of the album, he threatens to brutally murder so many members of his family that one begins to lose track, but this is just the kind of hard-ass image that's helped make him an icon. The aforementioned cut finds the former ...
| | Snoop Dogg R&G (Rhythm & Gangsta): The Masterpiece CD (2004)
Red Light District music CDs
$11.05 Easily Snoop's most diverse album, R&G slips from solidly street-oriented tracks to purely fun tunes, with moments both sensual and silly that add up to what's almost a concept record. Snoop has always been a master of squaring a mellow melody with his hardcore edge, but he reaches new heights on R&G, particularly on the Neptunes-assisted single "Drop It Like It's Hot" and the incredible early-1980s disco-soul sound of "Let's Get Blown." Snoop also reminds ...
| | Tupac Loyal To The Game CD (2004)
Red Light District songs
$10.45 Eminem's trademarked heavily syncopated sound provides an almost surreal sheen to the proceedings, and Em's voice graces the strong opening track, "Soldier Like Me (AKA The Return of the Soulja)." The guests run the gamut from 2Pac contemporaries Nate Dogg and members of the fallen rapper's crew, the Outlawz, to relative newcomers Jadakiss and G-Unit, but all performances are solid and requisitely reverent to the memory of Tupac Shakur. LOYAL TO THE GAME simply combines strong remaining lyrics of a late master with newer ones, and stands as one of the best posthumous 2Pac releases.

| | Game Documentary CD (2005)
Red Light District album
$10.45 After many twists and turns, the Game finally dropped the highly anticipated THE DOCUMENTARY as the first major hip-hop release of 2005, and it's quite an opening salvo. On the Kanye West-produced "Dreams," he displays a dizzying intellect, subtly working an apt quote from Nas into an imagined bi-coastal conference between Jam Master Jay and Eazy-E. (The track also invokes political figures ranging from Ronald Reagan to Huey Newton.) The Game's clearly been immersed in the rap world from an early age, and he tips his hat to both past masters and his contemporaries, many of whom appear on the record (Eminem, 50 Cent, Busta Rhymes, and others). THE ...

| | Lil Mo Meet The Girl Next Door CD (2003)
Red Light District album
$9.09 With a stretch-Hummer limo-load of talent, creativity, and confidence only hinted at on her debut, Lil' Mo throws down for real on MEET THE GIRL NEXT DOOR, her exceptional sophomore effort. First off, Mo is a genuine soul singer. Unlike some of her scale-running, scat-happy contemporaries, every note the diminutive vocalist utters sounds absolutely necessary. Of course it helps that the Lil' Miss is a heck of a songwriter too; the disc finds her organically mixing and matching elements of old-school R&B, new jack swing, and Philly soul as easily as other divas choose nail polish. Lyrically, she has few equals in the world of contemporary R&B, completely eschewing the played out bling-bling/bump 'n' grind themes of hip-hop in favor of highly intelligent ruminations ...
| | Nick Drake Treasury CD (2004) Sacd Hybrid
Red Light District CD music
$16.09 This is a hybrid Super Audio CD playable on both regular and Super Audio CD players.
While there was no shortage of Nick Drake collections on the market by 2004, the options for Drake fans with high-end stereo systems and/or SACD players was pretty limited (that is to say non-existent) before the release of A TREASURY. A hybrid disc remastered in Super Audio Surround Sound, it offers 15 cuts from the Drake ...
