Blue is a boy band whose biggest works are collected on BEST OF BLUE.
The first hits compilation from the R&B/pop four-piece, The Best of Blue is a comprehensive retrospective of one of the most successful boy bands of the early noughties. Released just before they announced their split in 2004, it features their three U.K. number ones, "Too Close," "If You Come Back," and the Elton John duet "Sorry Seems to Be the Hardest Word," plus nine other Top 20 hits including the Stevie Wonder collaboration "Signed, Sealed, Delivered," the Notorious B.I.G.-sampling "Fly By II," and the Gary Barlow-penned "Guilty." Five previously unreleased tracks are also included, alongside the All Rise album track "Best in Me." ~ Jon O'Brien
"Best Of Blue" is a journey of many moods. Opening with their anthemic breakthrough single "All Rise" the album moves swiftly into the soaring beauty of "If You Come Back" and on through the silky smooth groove of "Fly By II" and "One Love". Blue's poignant cover of "Sorry Seems To Be The Hardest Word" featuring Elton John follows, leading to recent classic hits such as the stunning ballads "Guilty" and "Breathe Easy". The album closes with four additional Blue recordings: the infectious single "Curtain Falls"; a fresh and funky cover of "Get Down On It" featuring both Kool and the Gang and American superstar Lil Kim; "Love At First Sight" an emotive Lee Ryan penned ballad, and a brand new version of "Best In Me", a song that was originally a hit for the band in Asia during 2002, but has now been reworked and remixed.
