In 2000, 3 Doors Down achieved major success by adding a rough-and-ready Southern-rock edge to angsty Creed-style neo-grunge. With its third album, SEVENTEEN DAYS, the Mississippi band strips its sound down even further, often adding a grinding, metallic edge. "Right Where I Belong" begins with a de-tuned, serpentine riff that is equal parts Soundgarden and Superjoint Ritual, while "Let Me Go" is a dark, mid-tempo groover reminiscent of Staind's biggest radio hits. "Landing in London" is a weary life-on-the-road ballad that recalls both Kiss's "Beth" and Bob Seger's "Turn the Page," and, in fact, features the Michigan rocker on guest vocals. A collection of memorable songs that finds frontman Brad Arnold addressing themes of alienation and strained relationships in a Ronnie Van Zant-like whiskey-soaked voice, SEVENTEEN DAYS should appeal to those fans who like their arena rock deep-fried.

This Is The Best 3 Doors Down Album They Have Dropped! I Was Very Disapointed With There New Album,Because I Was Expecting It To Be Better Then This One But It Wasn't If U Wanna Good CD Buy This One Instead Of The New One!

3 stars Southern Rock At it's Best......
I bought this on the 29th of last monthand i cant get enough of it!!!....i have the better life and i plan on getting Away From The Sun for Christmas this Year.................My Favorite Band is Linkin Park (I Have Every one of Their CD's...im Gettin their New Album When Its Released.......I Have THeir Emcee's Side Project Fort Minor's Album The Rising Tied)But I Would Have To Say THat 3 Doors Down Is My 2nd Favorite Band.........So If You Dont Have This CD You Should Get It.........It's That Awesome!!
