For me Shania was great overall the album was easy listening with some great tracks. I can't wait for it to be released in the uk/europe

I can't say that I was duped into buying this album. I knew which artists were on it. But I can pretty much say, for my tastes, it is a half-great album. I am not a big country music fan, and the country songs on here are pretty twangy and old school. If that's your thing, then cool. But it's not really mine. The best songs for me were the tracks by Anna Nalick, Indigo Girls, Joss Stone, Gloria Estefan, Liz Phair and k.d. lang. So all things considered, if you like your pop/rock, with a nice dose of country, you'd be foolish not to get this CD. It has some knockout female vocal performances on here.

Where many of the soundtracks to movies about contemporary black culture tend to emphasize the new jack aspects of today's sounds, the songs which make up JASON'S LYRICS portray a much richer vision of inner city life.
That's because this tale of inner city brothers whose father has been killed--one caught up in the gangsta life, the other trying to stay on the straight and narrow--summons up a more complex web of human emotions and urban characters.
