| | Blackfoot No Reservations CD - Import Blackfoot Discography of CDs
(6 Customer Reviews)
All Native Americans, Blackfoot recorded their first album down in Muscle Shoals with a little help from the usual hangers-out there. Hard-rockin' Southern-style blues-rock comes charging through the grooves here. Of note are such tracks as "Railroad Man," "Take a Train," and the Allmanesque "I Stand Alone." ~ James Chrispell

| No Reservations Music Review Average Rating: (4.7 out of 5 stars) List All Reviews The start of a legend! Years of hard work and hard touring show how tight this band was at the time this LP debuted. What should not be overlooked here is Jakson Spires’ pure talent as an intricate and complex percussionist as well as his prowess as an important lyricist. An incredible start to a great run for Blackfoot – truly holding its own in terms of originality and musical enjoyment. Submitted by benechostyx (Salt Lake, UT, USA) Was This Review Helpful? Blackfoot's First and Best This is Blackfoot's first album and they really nailed it! There is a strong Skynyrd vibe throughout as well as the start of the Blackfoot heavy metal that would go on to be their trademark. Since this is an Import, it is a little expensive but worth every penny. Great sound quality and lyrics! (I consider this to be the great "Missing" Skynyrd album) Submitted by Maurice (Doraville, GA, USA) Was This Review Helpful? Yes No
this is their best. ...like a previous reviewer said.
it is a shame that it is rather hard to get a hold of.
this one and flyin' high seem to me to go together as they are more boogie/album oriented.
too bad no label has thought to put together a box set of their first 5 cd's remastered and such and with a worldwide release. Submitted by Barry G (worcester, MA) Was This Review Helpful? Yes No
Great debut This is a great debut cd from blackfoot. Every song is excellent from start to finish. My favorites are not another maker, big wheels, the railroad song. Submitted by buddy3617 (indianapolis) Was This Review Helpful? Yes No

| | Corinne Bailey Rae Sea CD (2010)
No Reservations album
$14.49 After selling four million copies of her debut album, an effort filled with her precious brand of neo-soul and the uplifting hit "Put Your Records On," singer/songwriter Corinne Bailey Rae lost her husband Jason Rae suddenly and took two years off to grieve and recover before returning with her second effort, The Sea. On the album's opener "Are You Here," lyrics like "Wait till you see those eyes" and "He'll kiss you make you feel sixteen" suggest she's just fallen in love, but the fascinating idea behind The Sea is that it never explains itself, even if there's a new richness in Rae's soft and oh-so-tender voice that suggests something has changed deep inside. As such, the song's "What's it even mean?" ...

No Reservations music CDs
$11.15 Rondo? From the French - a poetic and musical form characterized by roundness worth its poundage in silver. Starting in 2003 as the duo of Robert S. Cambron (lyrics/vocals/guitars) and Adam Huffer (saxophone/keyboards/etc.), Rondo Sterling spent three years as a touring quartet before finally streamlining into the original two. In November 2007, RS released their long-awaited debut LP, Sprezzatura, the most impressive independent album of the year. Sprezzatura? A Renaissance virtue of artistic discipline - ability sans effort, performance by transparent skill. This incredible 10-song album is a showcase of creativity, virtuosity and taste. Rondo Sterling makes use of multiple instrumentation arranged brilliantly to augment each song. As a vocalist, Robert Cambron utilizes a low baritone to high tenor range and divine tone to subtly express the changing moods in his lyrics. Adam Huffer's saxophone performance combines the discipline of classical training with the spirit of improvisation to reach ...
