great solo album
This is a really good and original album from "Sir" Russell Allen, vocalist of the huge prog-rock band Sympony-X and guest vocalist in several other progects ( mainly Arjen Anthony Lucassen's masterpieces...Star ONE, Dream Sequencer I & II...). Slight change from the Symphony-X style with less intricated guitar play and a stronger Bluesy/Old School Rock influence.
As always, perfect vocals covering a wide spectrum from soft songs to really heavy ones.
This in an absolute have for Symphony-X fans and a must listen for those looking for something good and original in these sad times of lame mall music.

Wow...
I don't even know where to begin with this album - I can't stop listening to it! Ever since I came across Symphony X, Russell Allen has been my favorite singer. The man's incredible - this album really showcases his vocal range by the diversity of styles in each song. There ain't no filler here m-f! Brother got soul, power, and attitude! He could sing the phone book and I'd buy it. Songwriting is top notch, and I'm even more floored by the fact that he can play instruments as well - check out the lead guitar solo in "The Distance" - that's him!!! This man can do no wrong. Hopefully CDUniverse will have the album of him and Jorn Lande when it comes out...

Excelent Fusion Rock/Soul album!!
This album it's awesome! it has a diversity of genres, focusing with a rock and soul feel, some songs remind me symphony x like Gaia, because of the heavy and the guitar shred stuff, there are a couple of ballads, hard rock stuff, energetic vocal work. I really recomend buying this album, it's definetly out of SX enviorment.
