Best of Soul is a best-of compilation featuring the greatest hits from Korean R&B/pop singer BoA's Japanese releases between the years 2001 and 2004. Comprised of the usual blend of ballads and more dance-oriented pop tunes, Best of Soul also features a contribution from Japanese hip-hop group Soul'd Out. The songs "Quincy", "Kono Yo no Shirushi," and "Meri Kuri" were recorded especially for the album, with the former two appearing as a double A-Side, and the latter as a Christmas single. ~ Ian Martin
2005 compilation from the Korean superstar who has taken Asia by storm ever since she released her debut album in 2000 at the age of 13. Influenced by Janet Jackson, Nelly and other hot Hip Hop and R&B artists, Boa conquered her home country before heading off to Japan to become even more popular than ever. As she has matured musically, she has managed to make a successful transformation from young pop star to mature artist. In 2009, after nearly a decade in the business, she is set to release her American debut album. Best Of Soul contains the musical stepping stones that brought her this far.
