Moonlake album
$26.79 Dedicated to Richard Wagner, Timewind is a 60-minute electronic expedition that is broken up into two half-hour tracks, "Bayreuth Return" and "Wahnfried 1883." The first 30 minutes involves icy pulsations and lengthy tonal flights that unnoticeably converge into each other. While one rhythm gains momentum, the other one slowly fades into a bubbly electronic bath of bright swirls and meandering keyboard waves. Similar to early Tangerine Dream, the music here rises and falls above a distant sonic horizon, and the effect is truly mesmerizing. One specific flow can last for minutes, while small, detailed noises adhere themselves to the main electronic run. On the second track, more of the same far-off synthesized altering takes place, but the washes of keyboard become inoculated with a sharper, more precise sound. Longer notes build into resilient pieces with the same comforting result. This ...

| | Inlakesh Gathering CD (1999)
Moonlake music CDs
$13.45 Inlakesh is Rob Thomas and Tanya Gerard. They have been creating ethnic trance ambient since 1990. Their primary instrument is the didgeridoo. They augment the didg with ethnic percussion; Tibetan horns; sequenced grooves, atmospheres, and vocal samples; and chants. The Gathering is a set of deeply spiritual and emotional compositions dedicated to the beauty of tribal cultures. The acoustic beauty of this music gets deep into the hearts and souls of focused listeners and meditators. It is like Thomas and Gerard tuned the primordial percussion to match the biorhythms of those listeners. This CD, produced by Steve Roach, will appeal to fans of David Hudson, Trance Mission, Gary Thomas, Nomad, Roach, and Amir Baghiri. It is an important disc for fans of tribal ambience. For collectors of didg music, it is essential. ~ Jim Brenholts
The Music of Inlakesh is inspired by the manifestations and creative pulsations of consciousness: by Ceremonial music from around the world, the natural elements of Earth, wind and water, by the flickering lights of deep twilight and the sound an insect makes when its legs move through soft sand, in its own way changing the course of the world. By that sense of mystery you feel in your body while standing in the presence of an ancient pyramid overgrown in the deep jungle, whispers of its people and their visions floating on the warm breeze. When you ponder the possibilities of why the ancient Nazca constructed those monumental lines in the Peruvian desert visible only from high in the sky. By that glorious gaze of wonder in a young childs eyes when they first hear the sounds of a didgeridoo. By the profound simplicity of our being and divine connection we all have to each other. Inlakesh! \"I am another yourself\"Inlakesh formed in 1990 through the alchemy of Tanya Gerard and Rob Thomas, the core creatives of the group. Although Tanya grew up in Australia, she began playing the didjeridoo while visiting Tibetan communities in Dharamsala, North India during the mid 1980\'s. Based on the response of Tibetan Monks she encountered, she believes this was the first time the didjeridoo had visited the Dharamsala ...
