Vanity is a new name from Denmark & Germany strongly inspired by popular electronic music from the eighties combined with an ironic and melanchonic lyrical twist. "Taxi Rider" is the first single from the album "Imperfection" followed up by "Lane". The debut album is tuneful pop with both feet firmly planted on the ground and songs with something at heart.Vanity is a project based on a rather interesting mix of talents: A managing director, a writer and a designer.The managing director: Peter Kroul is the main figure in Vanity. He has composed all songs on the album and written the lyrics for one song. Peter has been making music for the past decade but vanity has prevented a musical initiative. On "Imperfection" Peter has overpowered his vanity. When Peter isn't living the life of a pop star, he is also the managing director of an IT company, "Athena", situated in Haderslev, Denmark.The writer: Torben Munksgaard is the lyrical genius behind most of the lyrics on the album. On a daily basis Torben works as a media coordinator for a production company. Torben has a Master of Science in Information Technology from the IT University of Copenhagen (ITU) and a Bachelor in Philosophy. Torben is currently working on a novel and publishes short stories on a regular basis. The designer: Charlotte Christensson is the enfant terrible of Danish design and is in charge of Vanity's visual look and PR. Charlotte has written 3 bitter lyrics on the album and is furthermore responsible of providing the project with "evil".
