incredible album, which sough and had a lot of children! everyone in the world should listen to Eric's voice in these songs, absolutely strong, mighty, but on the other hand very lyrical and soft where necessary. Buy it!

 This is the birth of True Power Metal!
When this LP came out I was 15 years old, and there was nothing else like it. Heavier than anything else that had previsouly been released by any band, anywhere. Into Glory Ride was the birth of Power Metal. Slow an Grinding, with intense operatic vocals - if you want TRUE Metal, this is it. I can honestly say that Into Glory Ride changed my life. It is still my favorite. I have this on LP, Cassette (the original Megaforce release) and 2 version of the CD (the original, and the Silver edition. Secret of Steel, Gates of Valhalla, and March For Revenge (by the Soldiers of Death), are 3 of the heaviest, most dramatic, Wagnerian songs ever to be released....couple these with Hatred, and you have the birth of Power Metal, or as Joey DeMaio likes to call it "True Metal". The first 4 Manowar releases are what made them the Kings of Metal, because these releases set them head and shoulders above the rest of the metals bands out there, and subsequent releases have maintained that pedestal...or as Joey wrote in Bridge of Death "all my years of earthly pleasure gave support unto the bridge, I now cross it giving him my soul."
